I will have to say this is not the only taxi service in Arcadia. I have NEVER in my life seen a…read moretaxi service like these. First off, it should be called a mass transit, not taxi. Services will actually pick up multiple riders at different locations at the same time. And, each has to pay full fare. Like if you get picked up at a grocery, and other rider(s) are close by, they pick up one then the next! Some of the taxis are not in repair. Some drivers do not know the routes. And, they all close at 8pm!!! I will say for the most part the taxis are clean enuff. And I have yet to experience a rude driver. Just strange to say the least.

I called at 10:15 am for a 1:30 pm pickup. I explained that I needed someone to be there at 1:30…read morebecause my son needed to be at work at 2. The driver I guess answered the phone and said that they could be there at 1:45 - 1:50 pm with no problem and could have them there on time. I asked him them if they to be there sooner and he said not a problem we will make sure someone is there at 1:30. Well nobody was there at 1:30.. I called the business and spoke to someone else and she said "I just got off the phone with ur son and someone is on the way." 1:56 I get a call back saying "I can't get in touch with my driver I've been trying to call him"... Now my sons late for work, the driver is who knows where and future clients to use this business is lost. I get that there's a window of give and take as far as time is concerned. But when you call in enough time you can definitely make arrangements to be on time. Especially when it's expressed and agreed upon.

Because they have excellent reviews on Google, I decided to contact them in advance to schedule a pick-up from where we were staying in Bradenton Beach to Sarasota Airport for our trip back home. I received a message right away with the price quote and the info was updated right on my iPhone calendar once I accepted. On the day before the scheduled pick up, I called and sent a text message to Vintage to confirm our pick-up, and received confirmation that our pick-up was scheduled for the following day. On the day of the pick-up, our driver, Amber arrived right on time for pick-up. She was one of the nicest drivers that we've had the pleasure of using. We will definitely use Vintage Taxi again on our next trip to the AMI area. Highly recommended. Thank you for the great experience!

He drove so poorly I almost…read moreasked to be dropped off anywhere in Tampa but my bag was in the trunk and I was certain he would resist. This hunch I had that he wouldn't let me out was completely correct. My ride to Tampa airport was booked a few days before. Communication with Neil was difficult as he wanted flight numbers and other extraneous details. He called me the day before my ride seemingly confused and slurring. I was foolish to not immediately cancel and book Uber right then. Do not make the same mistake I did because it is just a matter of time before this man hurts someone. Neil arrived 15 minutes early at 5:45 am. I would have booked later if I knew he makes an unannounced habit of this, please see his other reviews. I was unable to finish my flight preparations and just quickly grabbed my stuff and rushed out. When I questioned our original booking time he responded defensively so I just stopped talking. After loading my bag I hopped in the car. It's older but in ok shape. Immediately I noticed the smell of incredibly strong cologne. It was suffocating. Neil forgot his credit card machine and had to manually enter my card while mumbling and cursing the whole time. Driving was initially spotty and made me really nervous right away. By Spring Hill he had me audibly gasping. He is not a safe driver. He missed a turn on Cortez and braked hard at a green then appeared to be considering a left from the center lane. The driving worsened as we continued. The lane indicator beeped incessantly as Neil crossed the yellow lane continuously. I was terrified. I texted my partner states away as I was anticipating being in an accident. By the time we got to Tampa International I was begging to be let out anywhere. Literally anywhere. Neil argued with me until I demanded to be let out. Now, hours later, I am sitting at my terminal being harassed by this man. He texted me to make excuses about his driving not long after I ran out of his car. I plan to contact the Citrus County Sheriff's Department as I now suspect that Neil was inebriated when he picked me up. Under no circumstances should you, or anyone you know, use this transportation service.
