I lived at 100 Graydon hall like 10 years ago before moving to a condo. I lived at 100 first in a two bedroom suite facing south, which was very nice. Facing Graydon manor, with great unobstructed exposure to sunlight. The room and living room is very spacious. The only downsides is that you need use a key to get into the rundown garage, and one lady at the management was extremely rude and disrespectful. Then I moved into a three bedroom unit at 150 facing north. Much cheaper, but regrettably this suite has suffered very serious cockroach infestation. I am a current tenant in 50 Graydon Hall (there's 3 buildings owned by the same company) and this place is disgusting. There is still a huge cockroach issue, the laundry machines are almost broken, there's next to no visitor parking, the kitchen is TINY so if you have extra appliances then good luck fitting them in and finding extra counter space to cook. This isn't so much an issue with 50 but management has known for years that maintenance has been a serious issue for tenants and all requests are ignored. For instance, the elevators are in horrible condition in building 150 and nothing has been done about it. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere. read more

Horrible horrible place to live ever! The apartments are full of roaches. We have been living here since Nov'15 and the house has been treated with insecticides 3 times but God knows what was sprayed, the house is still full of those creepy crawling creatures... The pathway and stairs to parking is always filled with sewerage water, it stinks. 2 out if 4 elevators won't work. Laundry rooms are messy , the laundry machine have never been cleaned and are full of deposits and algae.. The place is Yuck!! And its like living in hell. read more

Worst place to live. We lived at 150 which is owned and operated by GH capital Corp. They have a huge problem with cockroaches. They try and try to do something but nothing ever worked. We ended up purchasing a great product t from the states and got rid of them ourselves. We lived in two units over 2 two years. The first kept flooding in the kitchen. Turns out a squirrel was eating through the dishwasher hose to get water. That took months to fix. A maintenance worker ( the floor repair guy) threatened my husband for no reason. The second unit was even worse. We didnt see any cockroaches because of our imported products to kill them but the assistant superintendent laughed at us when we pointed out all the defective things in our initial inspection. Screens missing from windows, light covers missing and the fridge didnt work. She told us we would have to wait until Tuesday to get a replacement ( this was on a Friday). Luckily the actual superintendants got wind of this and a new fridge was brought up the same day they were the only people that could be trusted. Brings me to my next point. My wedding ring was stolen on a day the assistant supers entered my apartment. Because we didnt trust them we placed motion sensor cameras and sure enough... ring went missing that day. I cant say for sure if it was the Male or female as they were both near the spot I kept my jewellery. My last point to make is our neighbor had bed bugs so naturally we found them too. The company was swift to hire a company to exterminate them thankfully. In the process the heat treatment warped two double beds, a bookshelf, the legs to my couch, two dressers ruined. When I brought it up to them they took no responsibility. None at all. I lost $5000 in furniture because of this but they wont to a thing. In fact, the receptionist got extremely upset when I said that I was recording her and yelled at me. Recording calls in canada is legal. If graydon hall sees this and wants to make amends, my unit was 1909. You have my number on file, you should call before I take this further. read more

Worst apartment in the entire area. It has 4 elevators, but won't work. they will stop in the middle. out of 4 elevators only one will work Mostl. underground parking is like garbage. for two buildings there is only few visitors parking spots. read more

Unless you enjoy being woken up at 8 o'clock in the morning Monday - Friday by drilling or fire alarms, then you'll love it here! LOL jokes, there's way more. Their elevators are SO sketchy. I wanted to go to 10 & it took me all the way to the penthouse, & once I got there the doors paused & shook & I thought it was either going to drop all the way to the ground or I was going to get stuck. So scary. That has happened multiple times to myself as well as many other residents. Another time I got here at 2 am, 3/4 of the elevators were stationed at various floors, while the last one was at the lobby, but as I was pushing the up button, the doors would not open. Complete bullshit. I had to take the stairs up at 2 o'clock in the morning. Thank god I can walk & I'm not disabled or old or came with a stroller, cause that would have SUCKED. Their laundry machines are trash. Always breaking. Some don't wash properly, some don't dry properly. I've had to put my laundry on high heat & ruin multiple items because I don't want to pay & wait to dry my clothes 2/3 times. I don't know about other floors but my floor, ALWAYS reeks of cigarettes. Like THE SECOND you step out of the elevator it just hits you in the face. I love bringing over guests & especially ones with babies!!!!! Ugly ass old ass dingy green carpets in the hallways. Tearing everywhere, being taped down with RED tape. In desperate need of redoing. Weird old ugly wallpaper. Terrible lighting. Where they keep the garbage outside, is disgusting. The lawn around it is filled with all kinds of debris. Not something I enjoy driving past at any time of my day. Landscaping around the building? Never heard of it. They've been renovating the lobby for like 6 months I don't know HOW they're not done yet. SO dumb. OH & there's this sharp metal thing sticking out when you're walking out of the lobby door, so be careful. Hasn't been there for long but WHO KNOWS HOW LONG IT'LL STAY. I didn't see it as I was walking & I ended up tripping & almost falling flat on my face. It fucked up my brand new pair of shoes. SO MAD. So embarrassing. CONSTANTLY giving us notices about water shut offs for "repairs". I've honestly lost count of how many times we've been without water since I've moved in. Other than all of that, the units are nice. So... if you can put up with alllllllllll that, THEN you'll love it here. read more

The apartment that we went into was nice. Quite big. Had a nice balcony with a good view of the downtown buildings and a lot of greenery. There is good parking space but limited visitor parking. Took us 15 minutes to find one for ourselves. The entrance was clean and was decorated for halloween. The corridors were clean and gave me the feeling of an old castle due to the carpet's colour and the brick layout of the walls. Overall superficially it is a place with a mixed diversity. A nice clean area. This review is my viewpoint as a guest who does not know the living conditions of the apartment. i lived in 50 graydon hall for 6 months and left. water would POUR through the ceiling lights in the hallway when it rained - and what did management do? stick a bucket under the light until the rain stopped. I should have reported them but instead i just moved out. Had my apt treated for cockroaches bec. someone near me had them, but don't recall seeing them - maybe a few, but i didn't suffer from an infestation. The WORST part was the SINGLE PANE - yes you read that right - windows all through my unit. I was FROZEN. Never didn't have space heaters blasting. They have those DECEIVING thermostat controls in the unit. What a joke - they don't work! AND my unit came with a dishwasher that was BROKEN DAY ONE AND NEVER FIXED. If you pain the walls - you pay them $30 PER WALL when you move out. When I was there laundry room was in good shape and elevators weren't bad. Also no smells in building and I think I had a better super than what I'm reading about here. I was told ' the owner of the building doesn't want to repair the roof' so that if I didn't like it - move out. read more

GARAGE doors often break down ,employees instead of helping rude,elevator often breaks,lobi construction continues forever,ugly stinky carpet at the floor,staff working as the prison look like they don't like the job they doing and the list goes on. Run, run far away. 50, 100, and 150 Graydon Hall Drive are owned and operated by the same team. Moving here was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. You cannot get the internet or TV provider of your choice, TV is provided by a company owned by GH Capital and a "TV Guide" or similar is not available. Internet is only phone line and speed available is reduced because the owner will not allow the lines to be up-graded. You must get special permission to have a mini satellite on your balcony for TV, or to use a space heater. You will need a space heater as 80% of the units face north and have drafty, old windows. It takes forever to get work done, except for pest control, which is good I suppose, because there are cockroaches. The laundry facilities are inadequate, 12 washer/dryer combos for 26 floors of 12 apts each. The basement level consistently smells like a sewer. Staff are rude. Most of the elevators have the wrong buttons, instead of L for lobby there is either a blank button or "27" and management has no intention of fixing this or the myriad of other problems. UPDATE, these owners are being sued for 20 million combined by Shaw and Bell media, for pirating satellite signal, that's why no choice in TV/internet providers, the owners didn't want to get busted! Google it, it was written about on the front page of the Toronto Star. read more

I have been living in 50 Graydon Hall for just over a month and I'm happy to report that the previous grievance about the inability to sign up with the internet provider of your choice has been resolved. Also, they are in the process of upgrading the look of the elevators. Unfortunately it's the same 50 year old mechanism and they do not work any better than they used to. In an apartment building with 20 floors, and 4 elevators, it some times takes up to 5 minutes for one to show up and then on occasion, two show up at the same time. In their defense, the 4th elevator hasn't worked in over a month. This normally wouldn't be too much of a nuisance except that it is the freight elevator. I had called and spoken with the superintendent, as instructed, in order to reserve the elevator, the week before I was supposed to move in. I showed up with two vehicles piled high with my belongings on the appointed day, so imagine my surprise when not only was my reservation not noted in their book, but I was also told that the service elevator did not work. Yes, the main floor still smells like a sewer on occasion and the underground parking leaves much to be desired. There are at least 4 or 5 abandoned vehicles with a healthy layer of dust and dirt on them and one car which appears to have been there since the 1980s and looks like something you would find in a junk yard. The website states that there is a state of the art fitness centre. This is NOT true. What it does fail to mention is that there is a $5.00/night charge if you would like to make use of the guest parking after midnight, but please note that you have to have purchased said guest parking pass before 8 pm. On the positive side of the column, the residents are generally friendly. *Update* They came in and "treated" for cockroaches in July and 3 months later, I see more now than I ever did in the first 6 months I was here. I have informed maintenance & they came in and "treated" again, which did not resolve the issue. I have had more luck with a $10 can of Raid, although it has not completely resolved the issue - I only see a bug every other day instead of daily. read more

I live at 100 Graydon Hall Dr. I don't recommend this place to live. The building is dirty, residents here are ignorant, staff are lazy and the building is in disrepair. There are four elevators but most of the time two are broken (which is a problem with 24 floors). The building is under construction but there are safety concerns around every corner. They begin one project never finish it and then start another one. Noise is a problem as well. I would spend more time looking for something nicer, don't be fooled by the great rate. This building has to be under the worst management I have ever seen in my life. The parking lot has been under construction for YEARS. I've waiting over an hour for parking each and everyday. Water gets shut off every other day for "maintenance" and some times there is a weird rusty coloured water coming from the taps. There is a terrible cockroach problem that they keep bringing people back to fix and has never been fixed. My balcony door doesn't shut properly and despite my efforts no one has come to fix it. I do not reccoemnd moving into this building, especially at the crazy price point this buildings management is complete and utter trash. And don't get me started on the rude office admins. read more

Been living at 50 Graydon Hall Dr for 5 years and since the management changed in 2015, things have been going downhill. They are not too keen on cleaning the hallways anymore. The 4 elevators are NEVER on at the same time... there's always 1 or 2 that are stuck som. Don't even get me started on the laundry room. Out of all tge washers/dryers, there's always at leasr 1/3 of them defective. Good luck hoping to get an answer to your emails to either the main office or the maintenance office. I have lived here for last 9 months and unlikely to other reviews have not seen the problem of cockroaches as such at my place. I had to take the place on a days notice so was not able to check other places but now I do feel that the place is expensive considering the quality and service provided. It is true that the staff is reaaaaaaaly slow in doing things and do not work properly most time. I had booked a 1 bedroom and two days later when I came in to make the advance payment I was told that it has been given to someone because I did not call up and the person with whom I was dealing with was on leave for the week so here assistant rented the place. I had to finally take a 2 bedroom apartment with no option left. Same thing about getting the parking. I tried to book a parking spot and I was told that I will get a call back but never did, when I called up I was told that the parking person was on leave for 2 weeks and till then no one can do this for me. I will move out in the coming months to save myself from the staff more than the apartment. read more

After living here for half a year, I think I've spent enough time to earn credibility for this review. THE GOOD: The location is good, and I like the park around the buildings. If you have a pet, such as a dog for example, the building is pet friendly so you can walk your dog around the park every day. There is underground parking. THE BAD: Where do I begin?! Being pet friendly, there are animal odours in hallways, and if you're afraid of dogs you won't be happy when you are stuck in an elevator with one or more. The maintenance on these buildings is HORRIBLE. Things are falling apart and things like doors don't even open. Floors aren't finished and walls bubble and crack. Heat doesn't even work and I'm starting to need a jacket just to be in my apartment. Maintenance staff is very passive and unless you have an emergency that affects others they ignore your requests. The lease agent lied about renovation work being done this summer to the building - nothing got done. Bottom line: AVOID IT. read more

No parking fees no bedbugs no roaches many NEW facilities brand new gym theater and laundry, parking is all well lit and now many upgrades on the outside including parking lot lighting etc . Again not affiliated with the other graydon hall apartments many tenants have been here many years so that says alot right there as they have not moved it must be better than average. read more

50 Graydon Hall. I have been living here for about 2 months, Let me just say that the day i moved in there was underwear and beer cans in the front garden - and EVERYDAY the water has been turned off with only HOURS notice. They write at the bottom of the notice saying "Written - with previous date" BUT they did NOT post it with 24 hours notice. Today example I left for work at 6 am - no notices, but I received a text saying the water was off at 2 pm. They vacuum and MOP your doors at 6 am. read more

I am currently struggling, living at 100 Graydon Hall Dr and have managed to survive here for 3 years. Don't get me wrong it's not all bad, the community is great, the people are friendly, pets are welcomed in this apartment and the bonus is the convenience of living near the station, highway and fairview mall. However, I wish I could say my suite looks as nice as the one in the pictures but instead I live in the old rundown version of that. We have cracks in the ceiling and walls due to water damage, the lights don't work half the time even after getting the super to fix it. The elevators are constantly breaking down. In fact there's a guarantee 10-15 minute wait period for the elevators in the morning when going to work because most of the time only one or two elevators are working. The ceiling in the basement is in shambles, holes everywhere with wires visible. A few washers and dryers don't work. Just last week it took management 3 days to get the heat working in mine and some of the other tenants suites we had to use portable heaters, comforters and layers of clothing to keep ourselves warm at night. Every summer to fall they do construction on the apartment they told us it would all be finished in a year and its been two years. Construction is still not complete! The noise is loud and constant and despite it all the outside of the building still looks shitty and rusty. The newly updated office downstairs is luxury compared to what we live in, it's totally misleading. Oh and lets not forget the roach and bed bug infestation! They are everywhere and no matter how much they claim they spray or use that gel they keep coming back even though I keep my apartment clean, dry and spotless! There's even rumors of management going into tenants homes when they're gone and stealing their items!!! Its no wonder that a new management took over last month and most of the former lazy employee's were fired and replaced. I'm hoping this new management will do a better job otherwise I'm going to see about getting a new place to live. read more

If I could write a review that was less than 1 star, I would. Although the apartments are average (at best), it's the staff themselves that area concern. Sleazy dealings are the norm, nothing is repaired (or if it is the workmanship is subpar), and every dealing feels like it requires police intervention! In the two years I spent there, the buildings were featured on the front page of the newspaper 3 times, and the running joke was that we never had to pick up a phone to call the police, you just have to lean over the balcony and shout down to them. If you do decide to sign a lease with them, get EVERYTHING in writing, and be very careful. read more

Don't let lower rent and outward appearance fool you. This building is poorly maintained with arrogant and lazy staff. If anything needs to be fixed or replaced the management chooses the cheapest temporary fix they can until forced to do otherwise and something is broken or needs replacement almost every week. The community housing across the road is better maintained than these buildings. If you report something like broken exterior lights or leaking water from sprinklers) most of the time it goes ignored and unnoticed, they don't do much of anything until tenant rights are cited. There are four elevators and somehow to get one takes an average of 3-5mins at any given time of the day, once late at night I had to climb a dozen flights of stairs because not one elevator came for over 10 minutes and the superintendent told me he didn't care. Just to give you an idea of how bad it is the tenants of the three buildings have had to band together to demand the basics like working laundry machines and for tenant paid parking spaces to be enforced, because management won't do it until a group of frustrated people demand it. Also don't bother joining the fb page, they constantly complain about tenant behaviour and only allow posts by tenants that complain about other tenants. I'm counting down the days to get out of here, I'd rather pay higher rent than continue living here. read more

i have lived in 150 graydon hall drive for 16mths first let me say the elevators are brand new and work bout 80 percent of the time the two sets of supers are the best i have had since moving to toronto 7 yrs ago i have never seen a bug i have had one problem with my fridge since i moved in and it was fixed on my time ( I have dogs) so they had to work to my schedule and was fixed within 24 hrs I have gotten along with most of my neighbors .. i do have one family whose kids think the hallway is there oasis but the supers come up whenever i complain ... so all is good the only problem i have with graydon hall is not the maintenance or supers... this is a pet friendly apartment dwelling ... and this is to fellow pet owners ... having a dog is a priviledge not a right ... so dont be a pain and pick up after your pet it is a city bylaw Karen read more
