For a week, my hip was so very painful, I was barely able to stand, turn , get in and out of bed, and walking resulted in bending forward like an ancient old man ( I was unconsciously protecting the muscles in the hip). Rotating my foot resulted in excruciating pain in the hip. Dr Keene found the point in the glute muscle where the pain was radiating from. With some manipulations, and his office equipment ,he was able to exactly identify a tear in the muscle.
