El Duende was pretty busy when we arrived the only table available was all the way in the back next to the bathrooms, we just took it since we were really hungry and tired after hiking all day and trying to find a place to eat in the thunderstorm. Service was kind of slow because we were seated in such an inauspicious location. Both ordered the 3 entree daily special where you can pick each course out of 5 choices. I think that I was successful in all of the items I picked and my SO was unsuccessful. My dishes: salad with avocado and anchovies, grilled lamb and vegetables, and fruit salad SO's dishes: something like a chicken enchilada for appetizer, grilled pork (it was tough), and a flan for dessert

We had an amazing 3 course dinner in this beautiful restaurant. The entrance is decorated with…read moreheaps of gnomes but don't let that put you of. Once inside this tiny brick house you will be seated by a table with table linen and lit candles. After hiking around 20 km in the beautiful Ordesa valley i could have eaten about anything however I paced myself and set of on a culinary journey consisting of a risotto with langoustine, halibut with vegetables and a cheese platter. Oh, please do not miss out on the warm chocolate creation with ice cream for dessert, splendid! I could hardy believe that the set price of this feast was just above 20 euros including bread, water and wine. We opted for another wine than the one included in the set menu and we were so delighted with the food, drinks and service after our dinner. Reservations are recommended since it´s a small and popular restaurant.

This is one of the best tapas restaurants in Zaragoza. We came here with my husband's coworkers who…read moreare locals, as its one of their favorite places. I've been twice which was great because it allowed me try more of the menu. The food is inventive and creative! These are modern tapas. It gets pretty crowded downstairs, but if you head upstairs there's more seating. We were lucky and easily found seating upstairs both times even with a group. It has a fun vibe upstairs. It's very hip with cool decor and lots of plants. I absolutely loved the mi-cuit with watermelon ice cream. It's like a foie topped with watermelon sorbet. It sounds strange, but wow! It's unbelievable. Their "a la greisca" potatoes were delicious! I didn't want to share. I should preface that a lot of these tapas are single-serving and you can't quite share with a group. We were in a group, so my husband shared up my order of potatoes with everyone, which I was disappointed about since they were so good! All of the other dishes we have ordered have been good. My husband and I always share our food with each other so despite the small single-sized portions, we still managed to taste each others' picks, so I feel with two visits that I've tried a good portion of the menu. Prices are higher than other tapas spots in Zaragoza, but I think it's justified for the fun and modern tapas. We're back in Zaragoza for a month now, and I will definitely be returning to order the dish with the watermelon ice cream again! I think I'll try the sushi ice cream dessert too this time. TIP: They have an English menu; just ask for it. Also, the staff I have encountered so far have all spoken some English.
