Seemingly rude and ignorant people have decided to…read morebuild a school platform that is exclusively for a select few families and their respective children that they wish to teach. A school centered around the teacher's needs rather than inclusivity for new families entering their school for the first time at high school level. My child's current teacher borders on verbal abuse, with her attitudes fueled by her own ignorance and judgements. The school counselor in 2020-2021 went out of her way to personally check on a highly sensitive family matter, above and beyond her duty to ethically report, breeching the ethics of her position and the confidence she attempted to build up with my child. Total trust violations since day one is my consensus. The school receptionist in 2020 did not make eye contact with me and only addressed my child directly when we came in together to get her enrolled. My child and I feel blacklisted for unknown reasons and the "we live in a small town," attitude is not digestible in this case. Taking my concerns to the school board for harassment/profiling and negligence. There are not adequate resources available for children with 504 plans, this aspect of my child's experience has been exploited by the administration and teachers who truly do not bother or appear willing to learn about their students and their families. Their parent/school communicator application is one-sided, parents can reply, however, their remarks can only be viewed by the administrators themselves. Believe you me, I fill out my annual parent survey as a bare minimum contribution but there isn't ever enough information provided in direct response (feedback). I feel too defeated by these obstacles mentioned, that now feel overwhelmingly harmful, despite my wanting to do more for my child and her school. I have commented several times about this from the start, which has fallen on deaf ears. My daughter's administrator and teacher have not considered the health and safety of my child on major intervention strategies implemented by me, her parent, in coordination with the school and county mental health programs. I am exhausted as a mom by the brokenness of our local education system, in particular, with poorly qualified or uninspired, ill-informed administrators. Consider this my white flag. I have been patient and diligent and we have not gotten the same respect in return.

Because they're relatively new, I wasn't finding a lot of information online about it. I called the phone number on the sign and got in touch with Teacher Deva who was delightful to talk to and let me come and tour the school on a Friday morning (a day they have off) with my little one. My daughter immediately clicked with the space. There's tons of forest, a garden, ducks, and even a cat that roams the property. We had seen a lot of really great schools in the area, but this one just felt special. After seeing the space, my daughter didn't want to leave. We knew we had found the one. Poppy Preschool is a Waldorf-inspired preschool where the kids enjoy singing, arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, and lots of play. They also learn a lot of collaborative skills like cleaning up. The teachers Deva and Sarah are calm, gentle, and patient. I've watched them first-hand moderate conflicts between kids where they help the kids verbalize their feelings and gently deflect any physical altercations. It's lovely to see. On the first day of school, I was worried my daughter would cling to me and not want to go, but she took one look at the ducks and the garden and immediately felt comfortable jumping in. Every day since her first day she's excited to go to school and she doesn't want to come home. She's also *delightfully* dirty at the end of the day, which I love. She's engaged and learning so much, she even teaches us all the songs they learn at school. I also love that they garden and cook their own food. Every day of the week has a different focus, so the kids feel grounded in a bit of routine, but there's still plenty of room for exploration and play. It's been a real joy having my daughter in Poppy Preschool. I highly recommend this incredible forest preschool to anyone in the area!

Great School!! TDA…read moreis a four(4) week long Truck Driving school that focuses not only on a student getting their Class A license, but making a student a professional driver. The school is set up for the students to get a lot of time behind the wheel of the truck. They do that by having a maximum of four(4) students to one(1) instructor at all times. If for any reason there would be more than 4 students, they call in another instructor with another truck to make sure they keep those numbers. First week is in the class room learning the basics and getting ready to take the DMV written tests. Once you pass the test the rest of the time you are in the "Yard" learning the ins and outs of driving a commercial truck. The school has two(2) trucks to train you with. They are 10 speed manuals and have "sleepers" on them so they are the kind you would most likely be driving once you got a job. You will learn city and highway driving in Yuba City, Marysville and Sacramento as will a small little towns around the area. You will drive on 99, 70, I 5 and I 80 and small little back roads that are narrow and tight as well as backing up to docks so you will be will rounded. The school is great because if you have a hard time learning, or just take longer than the normal time, the school will continue to work with you until you have passed your driving test with DMV at no extra charge. There have been students there for months and months and the instructors work with them. As long as this is something you want, they will work with you as long as you are not disrespectful and you show up to class. When I took my written test at DMV, they had guessed I came from TDA due to how will I did on my tests. While on my driving test, the DMV examiner made the comment "It was nice for once to ride with someone that knew how to drive" and while I waited outside DMV watching others students from other schools drive, I saw what the examiner was talking about. Out of about 10 student drivers that day, I was one of only two drivers to pass and get my license. The school helps with financing and job placement. The day I passed my DMV Drive test, they had found me a job. The funny thing was, it wasn't a truck driving job. In this school, you are a person, not a dollar sign. I had told them the field I was coming from was hard to find work in and that was why I was switching careers. They found me a job in my original career that paid better than what I had been getting before and would pay better then any job they could find at that time for trucking. This school may cost a little more, but its will worth it with the time and focus they give you and they are the only one that is state certified in the area. If that's not enough, many of the students from the past came by or called up the instructors to let them know how they were doing and to ask them more questions about the industry, and even ask about companies before applying to see if it was what they were looking for. That says a lot to me. Best School ever!!!!
