I had to take Elk Ridge Apartments at the last minute due to a move for work. Before I moved in I…read morepersonally had to pay to have the carpets cleaned. They are stained and had an odor. Management does NOT clean the carpets after tenants leave even if they have animals living in that apartment. I would think that the extra fee they charge for having the animal should go towards things like this. Needless to say the carpets were scary. I work long hours and am not at the apartment often. I would try to use the gym on my day off and it was always closed, even before COVID. Management would schedule random meetings in the gym and often it was closed for no reason that I could understand. Also, there were several tenants who would have frequent parties until 2, 3, and 4am making it impossible to sleep. I have no problem with an occasional party but as I said I work long hours and parties several times a week, every week is something management needs to address. There would be beers cans lined up on these tenants balcony and thrown in the yard. It would not be difficult for management to find these people to have a talk with them....just follow the beer cans. Lastly, my car would get parked in. I would park where I was told to park and neighbors or their friends would park me in making me late for work and just adding stress to an already stressful situation. Maintenance and the secretary, who recently left her job, were wonderful!!

On 4/26 I called in the morning, they said they would look into it. I had to call again, and they said they mailed it on 4/2. Which was a lie, I never got it. I called back and they said they didn't issue one because of damages. Of course there were. I damages. So, now I have to sue them for the deposit! Never ever rent from them! I'm a disabled retired senior citizen, those people prey on seniors like me. They will rip you off, keep your deposits and just laugh as out it and then tell you "Oh well, take us to court". There you have it! Horrible people doing horrible things to their tenants. Thieves liars and con-artists. They did me so dirty! So, now I'm having to sue them to recover the money. I was a total model tenant!

Some loud neighbors with no regard for anyone around them…read more(including past the noise curfew), cigarette butts EVERYWHERE, smells like weed whenever you walk through the middle parking lot (or practically anywhere else), kids that run and yell right in front of your windows, litter EVERYWHERE (not including cigarette butts), had a problem with bed bugs when I lived here four years ago, the maintenance guy is mediocre at best, and the landlord does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING when you file a complaint about practically anything that doesn't regard maintenance. The landlord, Sandra (Sandy) and the maintenance guy (Brandon?) do a poor job with upkeep and responding to requests. Appliances are cheap and installed improperly, cabinets are breaking down (and they were recently "remodeled"), walls look like hell (Some patches weren't even painted and we were told it was painted prior to us moving in), the exterior is in DIRE NEED of a paint job, and some of the concrete steps are cracking/have been replaced with wood. Seems unsafe. Way overpriced for quality of living. DO NOT move into these apartments.

Email quote had been sent but with a grammatical error, so it wasn't received. Also, the phone number I had wasn't (apparently) the prime number so my calls hadn't been heard. Booked cabin 15 (Honeymoon Cabin) for our anniversary. Worth every penny. This place is amazing…read more Not off the main road, but close enough to the main strip. And you can walk to all the local restaurants. The cabin itself is beautiful. Full kitchen, grill, outdoor patio to relax. The indoor fire place will keep the entire cabin warm, on those cold nights. Outdoor fire place with plenty of wood and seating. An amazing place to experience.

Our cabin was fully loaded with everything we needed and the location is remote enough -- out in the woods, but close to restaurants and local attractions. Family and Pet-friendly. We loved the fire pit and hiking and even went to the local Chinese restaurant, which offered a discount from Northwoods Cabins. We left after 2 nights, feeling refreshed and revitalized. Looking forward to our next visit to this charming retreat!
