I am so thankful to the staff at West Oso High School for everything they do and would recommend this school to anyone as our son has thrived in his academics and athleticism way beyond our expectations.

My son has been attending Lollys for 6 months now and has done wonders for his social skills. We…read morewere unable to enroll him in Pre-K this year but I wanted him to start a routine similar to it. He comes home with art projects and stories to tell everyday. He is a "mama's boy" and attached at my hip but since attending he has really blossomed and is fully prepared for Kindergarten next year thanks to Lollys. During the government shutdown we were unable to pay our bill on time and Lollys was so concerned about preparing Parker for his upcoming school year they helped us in that situation in more ways than you can imagine. I'm proud my son is attending Lollys! From a mother of 3 young children to another mother father or guardian, trust that your child will be safe and loved at Lollys.

Started attending this church after a move from Austin TX in 2019. We belonged to St Catherine of…read moreSienna there and were saddened when we left. I tried a few Catholic churches here and settled on MPB. A parishioner gave me a Rosary when she saw me praying on my fingers, I do this all the time, but it was so nice of her to say she was moved to give me the Rosary. Another parishioner who prays the rosary invited me to attend daily mass and I sensed a real communal spirit in this church. I try to go as often as I can to daily mass. It is healing. The priests are wonderful and I feel if I needed them, they would be there for me. I agree with the other review, the Eucharist is treated with such reverence it will move you emotionally. I cannot believe I did not understand this reverence in the past. When I saw the children receiving their first communion this past weekend, I prayed each of them would find that reverence sooner rather than later and be an example to their parents because it took me a while to find it and I would be sad that they and their parents miss out even for a day. I miss Father RJ as well. Father Lopez is wonderful and interesting, his homilies do bring discussion on the way home from mass. Father Mathias is a wonderful human and reminds me of Bishop Ott from St. Josephs in Baton Rouge. St Joseph's was our home parish when I was young. To have Confession with Father de la Rosa is an uplifting experience.

I took the two week EMT-Basic course through Texas EMS Academy. It is definitely a mental grind,…read morebut it is absolutely worth it! There is a "method to the madness" behind cramming what is normally a 6-8 week class into 14 days. The instructors here are passionate about what they do, & they are passionate about making sure you understand the content. To put it in perspective, I got done with the course & life "got busy" with work and I was not able to take the NR for 3 months after my 14 day course. However, I was amazed as I began studying again to take the test at how much I had retained. I passed the NR my first attempt! That's how good these instructors are! It's not just getting the course done quickly, it's a first-class education that sticks with you.
