***Update*** Mr…read more Bell did not complete the work during the cure period. We called another contractor out to get an estimate to finish the project. We found some serious issues with the electrical work he did. He ran unshielded copper wire from a smoke detector in our attic to power the smoke detector in the bonus room. He also did not run a signal wire meaning if the smoke detector goes off in the bonus room it does not alert the rest of the house. The outlets he installed were too close together to pass an inspection. To fix properly we are going to have to tear out the ceiling and have it re-ran. He also installed a two pole switch at the top of the stairs but a 3 pole at the bottom. The top switch will not control the light in the hall without the other switch being on. He used a plastic cap to install the ceiling fan which was not strong enough to support it. This has to be replaced. The ceiling damage his team caused has also not been repaired. Cracks are forming floor to ceiling in the drywall all through the bonus room. We contact the BBB. Mr Bell has not responded to them. We contacted the Arkansas Licensing board and received a letter stating he is not licensed to do a project of this size in Arkansas. He is not responding to request and has taken his website down. I'm sure he is going to open up under a new name. BEWARE I WOULD NOT HIRE HIM TO FIX A PLANK ON A FENCE MUCH LESS A HOME RENOVATION PROJECT!!! ***Update*** Mr. Bell returned on 8/14/2025 and has made great progress on the repairs. The cure period has expired as of 08/25/2025. We are giving Mr. Bell a 4 day extension to correct the issues. At the end of the cure period we will update the post and photos of the project. ***Original*** On 05/17/2025 we signed a contract with William Bell of RAC to complete a bonus room in our attic. During our conversation he stated he had 1 job left and it would take 5-6 weeks to complete. From then until now 08/11/2025 he has cancelled work 28 times and only shown 27 times with many of those days being less than 5 hours. We have asked for timelines several times. He sets them then does not attempt to honor them. One was set for 7/10/2025 another for 8/4/2025. He has damaged our ceiling in our kitchen and entry area, has serious delays to the project and major quality issues. We have paid him 90% of the project so far. At one point he asked for 99% of the total payment while having serious quality and timeline issues. We presented him with a Formal Notice of Deficiencies and Demand for Correction today 8/11/2025. In it outlined that we wanted the damage to our ceiling fixed, uneven surfaces, bumps and dips corrected, visible seams, tape lines, and screws corrected, cracks and improperly finished joints corrected, and correct the irregular joint seams. In this document we were giving him a 10 business day cure period to correct. He refused to acknowledge receipt, packed his tools and left.

A completely different material and not at all what we had picked out and paid for. I immediately called them to ask when they could back and fix this and they said they couldn't come and install the correct counters for another WEEK. We had to reschedule our plumber and we were without a working sink for over a week. When they came to install the correct counters, they brought two counters with completely different corners that sit across from each other and one has a chipped edge. Save yourself a headache and go with a different fabricator.

They literally measured and installed our Quartz countertops in just 1 day which is so good to be true. Beautiful work and a great team of people to work with. It was very easy to work with them and they were very easy to communicate with. I had initially found them because they had a particular quartz I was interested in - in hand and they were very fast in giving the estimate with a promise to install it in a much shorter amount of time compared to all other places. They truly exceeded our expectations in every aspect. So happy with the quality of work and customer care!

I had a long countertop-buying journey but after finding C & C, things moved so fast! I barely…read morefound them because I was only calling quartz dealers and installers, but I needed granite removed so I stumbled upon them through a Google search. I called one day (and spoke to a super nice guy named Chris), went to their office the next (and met a spunky gal named Carlee), then I had my measure a couple of days later and they installed my new quartz counter tops WITHIN A WEEK!! The whole process was so insanely fast that I still can't believe I have new countertops this weekend! Everyone I worked with was clean cut and made me comfortable to be around them. If you read further than this paragraph, you'll see I dealt with another company first and the guy that came to my house was dirty and stinky and I would not trust him to be in my home alone. Not the case with C&C though, as I did leave the 3 installers in my house alone while I made a ~20 minute phone call. Things I wish I had known going into this... Shopping wholesale slabs of granite or quartz is very difficult to make a viable option (cost-wise) as 90% of installers / install companies charge $40-45/sq to install your personally procured slabs. However when I called C&C they got my attention because they quoted me the cheapest amount for fabrication and install @ $30 or $35/sq. (Hard to remember which amount it was since they made me an offer I couldn't refuse on their in-stock quartz.) If you only need removal of your current countertops, they will remove your granite or stone for $7/sq. That's super cheap! The next cheapest quote I got was for $7.50/sq. The highest quote I got was $13.50/sq!!! Insane. My quest for new countertops actually sent me to Home Depot and Lowe's when I couldn't get a fabricator for cheap, but my big box store plan wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. HD contracts out installations to a place called Designer's Choice. I had a few questions as well as follow up from my laser measure and it was endless "Oh you have to call (insert the company I wasn't speaking with) for that answer." It was annoying and finally I said I just wanted to cancel the job and Home Depot refunded my money without hassle, luckily. We wanted quartz because natural stone has such huge variations and designs and we really wanted white countertops. Quartz is mostly "stone-like materials" and about 7% glue. It is not high heat hardy like granite and I didn't know that going into this. A hot pan will burn your countertops and we are used to granite so if I hadn't learned this, our countertops would be burned in no time. And speaking of hardy, my C & C install team told me the quartz is nonporous (unlike how granite is porous making them hard to sanitize). My installer specifically said "you don't have to worry about red wine staining your countertops. Liquids will just sit on top until you wipe it off." My husband actually drinks red wine every day and unfortunately within 8 hrs of install, we already have a very faint red ring on our countertop that did not clean up with a clorox wipe or rubbing alcohol. I'm going to get oxiclean to see if that will work. And finally.....seams. I refused to settle for seams in my countertops when the current granite I had didn't have seams. Seams are apparently pretty common so make sure you know how you feel about seams in your countertops and be clear if you oppose them. Oh and off topic but I have to say that fireclay sinks look so AMAZING and so clean! Gorgeous!
