Making it one of the few central Cafes where you can sit outside in nice weather and not be surrounded by booze or loud music like most of the Seafront venues. The staff are very friendly and provide an excellent service. Even going so far as to go across the street to source ingredients for what you order if they have run out. And they bring the order to your table, meaning you don't have to stand around waiting for your drink and then carry a heavy tray through the Cafe (Like a certain nearby major chain...) The food here is quite expensive, but the reasonable price of the Coffee makes up for that. The cups are large and they don't hold back on how much Coffee you get for your money. They offer a large range of Food, Drinks and Cakes. Also offering a 'specials' menu on juices and smoothies on occasion. I'm not a fan of those myself but my partner enjoys them and is impressed on their variety. Their opening times can vary throughout the year, I am never too sure on when they officially open or close. Sometimes they've closed at 5 and sometimes I've seen them close at 3:30. This may be dependant on weather, time of year or just how much custom there is. I only wish they would stay open a little later as I find myself having to relocate across the street when they close as I enjoy a late afternoon Coffee. Overall I would recommend Coco's over the other Coffee shops in the area, they provide a personal service and great drinks for a very reasonable price.

I would say that the food, coffee and indeed the prices are all 'average' They won't blow you away, but they don't send you away either. There are some areas where they could upgrade/improve, but bear in mind that they do get a lot of customers there. The actual prices could easily be higher given the beautiful setting, and Roath is hardly a low-maket place: the Terra Nova is neither cheap nor expensive. The setting and views from the cafe (both inside and out) gives the place an extra star, and make the stop really worthwhile. In the summer there is extra seating on a balcony above the lake, and there is plenty of different types of seating inside. I just wish that the paintings that hang on a lot of wall the space (and are for sale) were from a variety of artists rather than just the one, who is decidedly below average in my opinion! Disabled access is decent and staff accommodating.

Anything with cheese in is a sure thing for me. Be prepared for long queues prior to 9am and expect a big lunchtime rush. There is very very little seating in here so it's better to takeaway. Their coffee is also surprisingly good and sometimes they have a drink and pasty deal which is pretty good value. otherwise, I personally think it's a tad overpriced. It's one of the better options for a quick snack on Baldwin Street, as you're rushing from Temple Meads to the office in the morning. The prices are higher than in some of the budget bakeries in the area, but the products are superior, so you get what you pay for. It's not outstanding food, by any means, but they do a good job here, and the lady behind the till has always been very friendly any time that I've ventured in. Serving quality organic food and great coffee, it is often difficult to find a table in this surprisingly large café. (From the outside it looks like a small hobbit-built dwelling, but inside, the deceptively diminutive exterior, gives way to a spacious interior, with plenty of hobbit sized tables and seating.) It's possible to take food and drink outside to on of the picnic benches situated in the mini-adventure playground to the front of the building. There's quite a buzz to the place, especially in the mornings, with clusters of friends all indulging in animated discussions, although it's not uncommon to see people taking root for breakfast armed with the days copy of the Guardian. There's a very definite creative flavour to much of the chatter that goes on here, even the staff are all artists, musicians and writers. It's definitely one of Bristol's best child friendly bohemian spaces.
