Grandma's delivered! Way beyond our expectations! Everything we ordered from the menu was great. We came to Austin, NV not expecting anything more than just plain diner food considering it's a tiny town but we were wrong! We started with the tacos - they have chicken and carnitas as options to choose from, we got both and it didn't disappoint. We love the pickled onion coz it added that extra layer of flavor to the taco. The meats were cooked to perfection and we savored each bite. We got the steak (medium rare) and it was heaven! Cooked just how we wanted and it was juicy and not dry at all. The corn on the side could have used some more seasoning and the mash potato could have used less gravy. The pizza was great too! You can tell they used fresh ingredients and it was not greasy. I like that the crust wasn't thick and it didn't feel like I was just chewing on the crust. They were for sure not stingy on the topping. We will for sure come back if we end up again in Austin! And definitely something I'd recommend to everyone. PS Everyone was just lovely that night we were there. They had live music and the service was amazing. We met Riley too! (The friendliest big dog I've seen in our trip!) read more

No idea how to properly rate this place. This is a 1 star restaurant in most places but a 5 star for Austin. You'll be glad to find Grandma's open if you're here. Try the pizza. It's totally serviceable. Cracker crust, totally crushable. Service is slow but friendly and a little weird (everyone in Austin is weird). The food was terrible! Service was slow and the owner who rang up our check double charged us for drinks. Argued with me until I pointed out the double charge on the check. Owner is very short tempered and was very unprofessional.dining room also smelled of sewer gas. Kitchen and bathroom had a foul smell coming up from what I'm assuming was one of the floor drains. We ate here both nights we stayed in Austin. This is a place with a pretty simple menu - pizzas and salads - and they do it exceptionally well. As a party of four, we shared a large pizza and each got a salad (wedge, Caesar, and green). The greens were super fresh and the homemade croutons were an outstanding touch. The pizzas were also really good - nice thin crispy crust with plenty of cheese and quality toppings. Service was friendly and faster than you'd expect for a small operation, but they seem to have things figured out! Grandma's is a fun, casual spot that left us completely satisfied. My partner and I went to Grandma's for breakfast around 7:00am. We were lucky to find a restaurant(not a shitty gas station) that was open so early. We ordered the Grandpa's breakfast, which consisted of three eggs, two pieces of bacon, two sausage patties, home style potatoes, and two biscuits with gravy. The food was so wonderful, not only amazingly seasoned, but everything had perfect texture, consistency, and flavor across the board. Most biscuits and gravy meals I ordered in the past the gravy is too watery and flavorless. This gravy was perfect!(for me and my partner). So good, in fact, we got another order of biscuits and gravy and home style potatoes to take on the road with us for later. The customer was outstanding, the man who served us breakfast, was incredibly kind to us, extremely helpful, and was wonderful to converse with. Great food and great service! We go through Austin every year on our family vacation to Round Mountain Valley and usually have to stop in Fallon for food but decided to give this new pizza place a shot. Was not let down at all!! Pizza was absolutely delicious and their caesar salad was super big and filling! There were two ladies working at the time with a full restaurant and the service was still amazing. They have a pool table as well so you can get a drink and play pool while waiting for your food. We will definitely have to stop here again next year because it was that good! Who knew Austin would have a killer pizza joint! read more

Austin, NV is a town in the middle of the state. The choices are limited on a Tuesday night. They accommodated my no gluten and no dairy dietary limitations. The food was fresh. Bammmmm. I rolled into town. Late in the evening. Tired & hungry. Saw the only OPEN sign in 100s of miles. Music & laughter was playing inside. Nice small local owned & run bar & restaurant. Perfect for our stopover in Austin, NV. Our server was on a very tall ladder decorating the Christmas tree but was pleased to take our order from the top step. Pizza is the menu item of choice here and there are a variety of toppings. We had pineapple and jalapeno! It was delicious. There is also Nevada beer and a few house wines.
