    Great views...

Great place, all the way around, can't beat the price, the views, the quality of the course, every new hole is a challenge! Loved it...

Hard to rate this objectively when the staff is garbage and a liar- I am looking at you Bernie. Complaint to Nancy is not much better: Trash. The personnel at the course, especially Bernie did a bait and switch. They didn't like that I booked through GolfNow and told me that I was "lucky" they were going to honor our 1:50 tee time. We played 9 and at the turn I was told they have golf leagues, where very backed up and asked if I would take a raincheck. Then they said they could only get raincheck by calling GolfNow which they did not have the phone number for. He said he would accommodate me for doing them a favor by giving me a 'promo card'. When I got home, it turns out upon reading the fine print of the promo card that the times were restrictive AND I had to pay $20 x 2 for a cart! This was despite me already having paid for the cart on my initial time. What kind of raincheck is that? When I called the next day I was rebuffed by Nancy because Bernie denied this. After further discussion he finally admitted it but was angry that I debated having to pay again for a cart from a raincheck THEY were providing to facilitate their league. He yelled at me because he gave me a promo card- BUT failed to realize the wasn't a raincheck he promised because I would have had to pay for the cart (x2 people) in addition to extremely restrictive tee times. Let me repeat, he initially lied then hung up when I was doing them a favor! 1

I've played a lot of courses all over the country and few will humble you like this course. I can tell the bad reviews are from people who realized they're not a tour pro after playing here lol. Staff was awesome. Course was awesome shape for November. Idk how the course is so cheap but the carts are new, greens are quick not fast, pro shop prices are cheaper than a gas station, even the golf balls were a good price. Liked it so much I went back the next day to play again. If you like a unique challenge this is the best course in the area.

Great staff. Great course and amazing food. The staff seems like they work hard to please golfer/customers. Most reasonably priced golf course

Rain check for 1/4 of booking price after haggling with the pro shop employee

I would rate this 0 stars if I could. Two friends and I embarked on a journey to golf a course we had never been to before. The pictures online looked incredible and we were not disappointed upon arrival. We booked at 4:00pm tee time and we made it to hole 3 when we got stuck behind a group of 8 golfers (which I didn't even know was legal), and this really slowed our afternoon down. We made it through 6 holes before a massive thunderstorm and some hail arrived to the Pittsburgh area. For our safety we took cover and then raced our way to the clubhouse, along with many other golfers that were out that day. Due to the dangerous weather conditions we returned our carts and walked into the clubhouse to do what we do at any golf course when dangerous conditions stop a round of golf, enquire about a rain check. The employee there stated to us that since we were a twilight group that went out after 4:00pm we were not eligible for a rain check. When we told him their website says twilight golf is after 5:00pm on the weekends (see image below) he still tried to reject any sort of olive branch such as a rain check for 9 holes since we had already played 6. He eventually offered us $7 (which was also a lie) and we were handed a rain check slip for $6.86, approximately 1/4 of the price to play a round here. Many other golfers were offered the same deal and decided it was better worth their time to try to brave the thunderstorm while holding metal poles in the air than to get 25% off their next trip out there. It's almost as if Grandview would rather have their customers (who I was taught growing up are always right) have to decide to risk playing golf in lightning or to walk away feeling ripped off. In all my time golfing I have never seen such poor customer service and I will never consider returning to redeem my $6.86 voucher. The course is beautiful and a lot of fun to play, it is just unfortunate when poor customer service can ruin what was supposed to be a great day.

    A challenging but rewarding hole!

Dropped by last month and was disappointed. As a golfer and a greenskeeper. The greens were in very bad shape. Won't be going back.

Cart path only due to heavy rains and horrible putting on aerated greens. I would avoid for a while and save some frustration.

I wasn't overly impressed with the dinner, the chicken was too lemon-y and the short rib was too well done for me. The mashed potatoes were amazing and the vegetarian option (ravioli) looked great. To mitigate risk amid COVID, they offered a virtual menu accessed by scanning a bar code with your phone. They have been able to maintain an expansive menu as well, with options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. I tried a new dish for dinner- a veggie pesto tartare. The presentation was stunning and I loved the meal. The bread was toasted yet still soft enough to bite. The pesto and veggies were a perfect savory topping. We also ordered the zucchini planks, which were plentiful on the plate and paired well with the dipping sauces. My friend ordered a veggie wrap that came with a side of fresh fruit, and had nothing but positive things to say about the dish. We both ordered white wine (I had a pinot grigio and she had a riesling) to go with our vegetarian meals. Huge props to the chef, Matt! We loved it all! Our server, Susy, was so nice and accommodating. She was a pleasure to talk to and did a great job serving! We also got to meet Brad, who walked around to each table and chatted with the members (he also recommended the veggie tartare, such a good call). Mark (Sales & Catering Director) gave us a tour of their event space, as we are looking for a venue for a bridal shower. He was great! Very personable and knowledgeable of everything Edgewood has to offer. He gave us a packet of information to go home with. They renovated their main event spaces in early 2020, and we were very impressed with the classy look and feel of each room! Every person we met at Edgewood was friendly and attentive. Between the staff and members we had the chance to meet, I am confident that Edgewood has built a comforting and accepting community. Overall I would highly recommend this club!

At the driving range you have one covered area and two open areas. See the picture to see a snippet of the area. I like that they had a sheet that listed the yardage of each flag. The aesthetics are awesome, great for a girls night out when you want to be cute and take photos to post on social media(right now they have a pop up cherry blossom set up in the chalet course go soon like this week) and also great for date night memories. NOTES: -Call ahead if you're really set on a specific course or experience. During our visit, they closed off the entire first floor (and Lodge course) for a private event. However, as noted below, getting a human on the phone can be difficult. There's "Puttshack", a very similar concept, a block away if you really get blocked. -The electronic scorecard only allows you four players. (Unsure what another reviewer said about gigantic groups. It, literally, is only programmed to allow four players. It's very possible that parents were just letting kids playing alongside with zero "scorecard" as it'd be easy to do that.) -The Lodge course is on the first floor, and the Garage and Library are on the second floor. There's an elevator between the two, but I'd caution people with limited mobility that there are narrow walkways within most of the courses themselves. Restaurant/hallways are wide enough for wheelchairs if someone wanted to accompany though. -When we came, the Library was decorated for a Valentine's Day pop-up. You could play the Valentine's Day pop-up just the same as regular Unlimited, making their "upcharged, single Valentine's Course" event really expensive with no gain for you. I'd have been annoyed if I'd paid that for the promised "romance and lots of Instagram worthy spots", but it was a cute addition to the standard Unlimited Normal price we paid. -If you want to memorialize your scores, take a photo of the digital scorecard right after you put in the final score. Like, be READY as soon as you put in that number. It disappears into the ether as soon as that final score is put in. I'd love to see it wait for a confirmation/30 second delay to allow people to get pictures before the final scores disappear. PROS: -No idea why they make each Puttery so gorgeous, but they are. The interiors are very shiny and thought-out, and if you're not pressured mid-courses, it's really fun to look at the details they've put into the course decor. (From iconic photos of Pittsburgh to historical posters of golf or fun-looking books). Even the seating is comfy and pretty, and I'd come here just to sit and have drinks, a la cocktail bar, if I was in the area. -A good variety of drinks with mostly housemade ingredients. Sweet or spirit-forward, they have both (and beers and wines). They're $15-ish a pop per cocktail, but as it's hard to take a break mid-course, you'll probably only end up doing a few if you do all three courses. -I love the drink ledges at each hole. This makes things so much easier to play. Make it to your course's hole, put down your drink, take your shots, and pick up and get ready to move on. -Each course is REALLY well-themed. Our car-loving friend fell in love with the Garage, and I loved the calm and astronomical vibes of the Library. The Lodge was cute, too, and it felt really applicable for winter. -Really, it's just an amazing experience. I have complaints, but I haven't really found a competitor doing things much better than the Puttery does it. We love coming to Puttery locations. CONS: -I went to a Puttery in Minneapolis, and they had a great happy hour. Before I popped into Pennsylvania, I wanted to see if I could plan to hit up their own happy hour. I tried for (literal) days at different times of day, calling the number to see if I could get a person on the line. I'm not sure what was going on, but it took calling on four different days to eventually get a person to tell me they don't have a happy hour here. I'm really frustrated by companies continually crapping out on their ability to contact a business ahead of time. -Someone needs to rethink the drink ledges in the Garage section. The "ledges" are as tall as their highball cups, making it very, very hard to retrieve a cup from the ledge without touching straws and the drinking areas of the cups. Considering how dirty your hands get from constantly touching new surfaces in here, this was really gross. The drink ledges in the Lodge and Library did not have this issue. -Unlike my experience in Minneapolis, every course had an attendant near it. However, the attendants were playing on their phones while many of the ledges had abandoned/empty cups sitting on them. Zero complaints about playing on your phone, but make sure the area you're monitoring is clean first. -I had this same complaint at my last Puttery, but I LOVE the electronic scorekeeping. Every hole, you take your turns and you put your score into a tablet attached to the start of the course. It then, digitally, moves your scorecard onto the next course. It's SO convenient. It also means that you can't "swap" groups mid course. If there's a single kid zooming through on Unlimited plays, he'll be constantly stuck behind you, waiting on you to finish, as the scorecards don't allow you to "swap" with a group ahead or behind you.
