They have, compared to most of the restaurants in the area, the ability to renew themselves and the menu. Especially the tasting menus they offer Fridays and Saturdays. Sometimes they are excellent, sometimes very good - but they never let me down. I have eaten French, Italian, Asian and Indian meals here - all very well prepared. This summer I asked the restaurant to set a surprise menu for eight people - and they did - six courses with passion. Ingredients with high quality, like lobster and foie gras, excellent tenderloin and a superb dessert. Los Laureles hasn't the largest wine menu in the area, but they have chosen a very good variety of Andalucían (there are some very good ones), paired with a good selection of wine from other regions. Unfortunately many restaurants in Almunecar have mostly low or medium quality wines on their list. Cred. to Los Laureles for their ability to find wines that pair the courses very good and at the same time are very price worthy. Compared with the other restaurants in the town, this is a five star restaurants. 10 minutes walk from the tourist traps and you are trapped in the best restaurant in town - and like to stay...

The waiter, a young guy who was super awesome and friendly and helpful. The menu is in Spanish but he can translate for you , and seriously anything is mind blowing here. I wish I could eat here all the time. Love this place. Unassuming small bar with seating upstairs and yet the food is Michelin worthy.
