They even supply a non alcoholic beer if you ask. There isn't a lot of room at the bar but they do have different nights with a theme. Trivia night is popular and sometimes a guest singer appears. The accommodation is very cheap in comparison to other hotels in the town. If you are just staying over night this is ideal.

It is close to the railway station and although the train only stops twice a day..it could be the first beer for the weary traveller. There is nothing flash about this pub but still it has character. If you like cricket or football the TV is on continually, there is always someone sitting at the bar for a chat (the regulars). The manager said "where are you from?" So I must look out of place...oh I forgot to wear the blue jeans, boots and the slouch hat. The counter lunches are not too bad...around $15-$20. There is a good selection. There is accommodation ranging from $70 -$80. Now would you believe this place has a full breakfast for $15. Solo singers on the weekend perform to the crowds. The manager is the best Elvis impersonator in Australia (he wouldn't lie now, would he?) and returned with the title from Parkes last week-end. There is a restaurant at the resort that caters for breakfast and dinners. In the hot weather there is a pool for the guests to enjoy. I organised my mother's 80th Birthday luncheon there and Wayne and Lisa Shepard did a fantastic job of preparing the room, meeting the dietary needs of some and serving delicious food that was presented so beautifully. The cost was very reasonable. The Sheppards made all the guests feel comfortable and there was no time limit in leaving the venue as many guests hadn't seen one another in years. I would highly recommend this venue for any function. There is ample parking. There is no public transport to the venue. But then again... if you were staying in one of the cabins then you could just walk across the yard to the event and then later stagger home! No booze bus would pick you up!

The staff go out of their way to make a group happy. The meals were reasonable and their is always soon special. I brought in a birthday cake ( for my Mum as a surprise)and t he staff didn't charge cakeage! The staff prepared the sparkles on the cake and brought it out at the right time.
