They have a large dining space with cozy corners, background music and low lighting. There are 3 buffet tables, 2 hot and one cold. Overall we enjoyed the food, though some were lacking in flavor. The dessert/cold bar was pretty sizable. My only critique is that the air conditioning is cranked high and the hot food temps were lukewarm. Not sure if this is due to the powerful air conditioning or lack of heat on the hot table overall.

There is a connivence store plus gas station less than a minutes walk away. We found the room to be clean and incredibly cozy! The price point was very comparable to the other hotels in town so you're not breaking your bank. Heads-up: There is no online reservation so you have to call to make a reservation. And there is no express checkout. You have to check out with a human but the customer counter is always manned regardless of the time of day or night.

There was plenty of food, and plenty of options, and nothing was awful, but nothing was good either. "Blah" is really the most apt description. If you want a modestly priced all-you-can-eat buffet serving mediocre food just oozing with preservatives and artificial flavors added, this is the place. All the food seemed to arrive straight from a microwave. Things that should be crisp were soft, the temperature of the food varied from bite to bite, it was a less than satisfactory. This review is for the hotel only, and not the casino which is connected to the hotel…read more Hotel has an indoor pool, sauna and a spa which is a plus. There is a small gym and an arcade. A couple of dine-in options plus a Caribou and a nice gift shop. Unfortunately that alone did not get us through and hence the very mid rating. We stayed in a non-smoking room, which smelled of smoke on the first floor. The bedding has the most uncomfortable mattress and pillows around where everyone in our party was complaining about their backs and necks after a 2 night stay. The shower pressure was non-existent and water temp. was lukewarm. Pro tip: There are literal kids working at the 'deck' which is the fast food option within the hotel, overcharged on the first occasion and then the next day, totally fussed our order, so do make sure to check your receipt and hold onto it, as that came handy for us on both occasions.

In my book, that makes for a positive buffet experience. They've been open for years (I used to go to SDSU and thought it was good back then) and I can see why it's still a local fav.
