As a longtime Costco member, I expect a positive experience when making a hefty purchase from one of their service suppliers. In September 2023 we purchased engineered hardwood with a lifetime warranty from West Coast Flooring in Vista for just under $25k. Within weeks of their early October installation we discovered serious splintering in a number of boards. It took two months and considerable resistance from Shaw Flooring to get those defective boards replaced. Now at three years in an adult household, there are random boards where the finish with a lifetime warranty is failing. Again West Coast Flooring denies any responsibility. We regret paying almost $25K for what seems to be a defective product. The solution from West Coast Flooring is to replace it. Buyer beware! I do not recommend West Coast Flooring or Shaw products.
