Got a Truecar online price (price for car/taxes/fees for about 23k). Got contacted by someone representing themselves as Truecar via text and then clarified with them that they work at Granbury Nissan. Scheduled coming to look at the car. I drove over an hour to the dealership, inspected the car, test drove, and proceeded to give them my out the door offer which was only about $600 less than the quoted online price. They came back with a price that was 26-27k (significantly higher). They proceeded to tell me there were all sorts of fees etc. (One fee alone was around $2500, about 12% the price of the car or 16-17 times the "dealer fee" on Truecar). I reminded them the quote said with fees (even says dealer fees). It was obvious they would not even honor the online quoted price. To be clear, I was not asking for any add on options, warranties, no trade in, etc.. This was just their add on fees driving the price. Drove another hour home. The dealership will probably respond saying that there are cost and fees not included in the online quote and in the fine print (that's what they tried to tell me at the dealership) but I want to remind them that the quote says with "taxes and fees" and even says "dealer fees". If they say that it is an online 3rd party quote or something I want to remind them that their person represented themself as being with Truecar. Complete waste of time and gas. I would not recommend wasting your time dealing with this dealership that baits you in with lower prices online and tries to jack the prices up once you are on site. Added photos of the initial text from the salesperson representing themself as with Truecar (name obscured) and the Truecar offer showing the Dealer Fees already added into that offer.

Buckle up boys and girls, this is the absolute last place you will want to buy a vehicle. On 18FEB2025 I put a $515 deposit on a 2019 Versa listed at $8713 to take it off the sales lot so I could come purchase it. The dealership ran my credit score and I had agreed to put $5000 down, then pay $189 per month over 24 months. They promised NO HIDDEN FEES and a free ride since I live in Haltom City, the only requirement was that I have an insurance policy set up prior to arriving, which I set up and sent them the policy on 19FEB2025. Then I got there on 20FEB2025. I had to pay for a Lyft myself because their driver called in. Not an issue on it's own, but the dealer knew I had work to get back to. I ended up having to call my supervisor and stay for an additional 3 hours trying to figure out the rest of this fiasco, for which I now have an open formal complaint with the DMV and Nissan Consumer Affairs. We went through the standard process and then got the paperwork where they revealed a $2495 "Dealer Prep Fee", and instead of $189 for 24 months agreed on prior, they now wanted $289 for 60 months. The actual cost after these hidden fees was $12,195.47. These weren't advertised anywhere, and the dealer REFUSED to provide me with an itemized list of what went into the "Prep Fee", why or when they had changed my previous monthly rate that I had supposedly locked in by paying the deposit, or what bank they were using. I was only able to get him to tell me the sale was at 25% APR. The math on this after a $5000 down payment came to $23,340 for a vehicle listed at $8713, three times it's listed value. Then the owner of the dealership came out and outright tried to con me. Mr. Torres had the gall to not only tell me that I was "doing interest the old way, we do it with computers" as though the calculations for interest have changed, but he also said that I'd only get an itemized listing of the dealer prep fee "once I'd finished signing everything and talked to Mo". I still don't know who Mo is. I called my bank in front of him and confirmed on speaker that I could get a 5K loan at 10% interest, and would rather just buy it outright. I ended up writing a check for $5,559.50, which along with the $515 deposit was half the total cost, with the condition that I would put in the loan request on 24FEB2025 and then come to finish the check by 28FEB2025 and drove away in the car. I called Consumer Affairs and asked about the hidden fees, and they opened an investigation into this dealer, as after I gave them the documentation I had they informed me that the car had never been listed as even engaged in a sale. Then at 7:45 pm on 24FEB2025, after Consumer Affairs had called them, the dealer called me said that they couldn't wait anymore and asked me to bring the vehicle back SO THAT SOMEONE ELSE COULD TEST DRIVE IT. The vehicle I had put a deposit on, wrote a check for, and had gotten MY OWN INSURANCE POLICY for, they wanted to let someone test drive on MY policy, while being engaged with me on a sale. I informed the Consumer Affairs immediately, and expressed that I no longer wanted to do business with this dealership. With my schedule I could bring it back on the 28FEB2025 unless the dealer was going to pay for my Lyft ride back to Haltom. Then on the 25FEB2025 (the day I am writing this) Mr. Torres called me and threatened me with reporting the vehicle as stolen, for "reneging on the deal" while saying on a call I recorded (and gave to Consumer Affairs) "Corporate can't tell me a damn thing". I called the police. While showing Off. Patino the recorded phone calls, I got a call from Off. Bell of Granbury PD, who the dealer had called. After I explained the situation, Off. Bell offered to go to the dealership with me to ensure they behaved. I accepted and took the car back, and the dealer behaved WAY differently, but also stated that they had already shredded all the paperwork and would NOT pay for the lyft ride. Fortunately, I was recording. Don't do business here. Find a reputable dealer.

I applied for…read morefinancing through their website that night, with perfect credit and income history by the way - the highest credit tier, called to follow up for a call back from financing manager yesterday to see about the rate they would offer, and my call was never returned. I found a good rate through my credit union yesterday and asked them to match or beat it to which they agreed to do. After multiple calls and texts asking for updates, fast forward to today when most likely none of their banks had offered to even match the rate I got from my bank, and now they're telling me they are refusing to sell me the car even though we agreed to a sell price, the full advertised price by the way, I have approved financing and gave them a chance to match it with their own bank rate. I was told by the "manager" of the dealership "it's best we part ways" despite agreeing to a price and finding approved financing. Really? Is this how the car buying experience is supposed to go with 4.7 star rating on Google? Most likely fake reviews. This is a bait and switch SCAM all day. They don't want to sell me the car for the price advertised because when you sit down to do paperwork they add a "VIP" package for $895, window tint for $798, and some sort of "ceramic coating" package for $2500 on top of the advertised price and said that removing these is not an option despite them not being included on the price on their website and not being asked for by me. When I told them I was willing to pay the advertised price plus tax title and license they refused the deal. We eventually settled on including the vip cost and window tint on top of the advertised price to which all parties agreed when I started applying for the financing. After the multiple days of back and forth they pulled the rug because I didn't fall for their bait and switch. The car was advertised at $46,115 and the first deal sheet they brought out was to finance $65,000 with a $7500 extended warranty only good for 60k miles - so that's $19,000 in dealer adds when tax title and license was only $4000. They refused to sell the car because they couldn't make a sucker out of me in financing. There are other similar reviews on Google

Unfortunately this came with being told it could take two days for them to even look at it and we'd have to leave it there and this was our only car and they knew that. When I went there I saw someone waiting and a car in the shop that looked to be like it was getting worked on so not sure why they could be there and we couldn't when we had no choice.Since we got the car it's been issue after issue we were not informed about and it's issues that don't just happen overnight someone that works here knew something no doubt about that. They knew we needed something safe as we had an infant and feel like they took complete advantage. We replaced the body control module for $500 almost $600 with programming, the alternator, battery and still nothing would fix it.They refuse to help, scam you.Sunday evening (5/17/26) we went to start it and it wouldn't even start whatsoever. My husband called and told them to come get it and the first thing that was asked was if they needed a tow truck for it before he even said what issue it had.Save your money and do not go here no matter how good it seems i'm very very disappointed in them and expected better from them with what we were told.Go anywhere they will take and take and put you through so much with a car that supposedly had no issues. Also the payoff amount with what we paid did not add up $573 to be exact that doesn't just go missing randomly.
