Since I did Greenwood, might as well do this one too.
Cemeteries can be interesting places. Some are historic. Some are beautiful. This one is more historic. Why? Well you can see a grave here bearing the name "Jesse Woodson James", yes, supposedly that Jesse James, though it does not seem to be verified as fact. See http://www.granburydepot.org/home/HCGShomePage.htm
General Granbury, the town's namesake, is also buried here. https://www.granbury.org/703/Brigadier-General-Hiram-B-Granbury
Ashley Crockett, the only grandson of the famous Texas hero, Davy Crockett, is buried here. http://www.granburydepot.org/z/biog/crockettashleywilson.htm
Just for the names above, it's worth a visit for history buffs.
More on the history and other "residents" here: http://www.granburydepot.org/home/HCGShomePage.htm
Bottom line: On a nice day, it's an interesting place to wander. read more
