Leticia (Miss Letty!) allowed us to stop by on a whim. There we were greeted and welcomed in to find happy kids, a dedicated infant area, clean facility, and friendly educated staff. Bright Beginnings has very flexible schedules, which we are grateful. Need part time? Full time? They offer both! Infant? Toddler? Yep! Leticia is well-educated in child development, and she has so much heart, which makes her stand out in her field. They are a family business who makes you feel like part of their family. Our infant daughter started a few months ago, and I couldn't be more pleased and put at ease by their care. She took immediately to Miss Letty and Ms. Vero. They really do love and care for the children they take in. When my daughter had trouble sleeping, she was held - not put in a crib to sort it out on her own. Now that she's older, she is learning to take better naps through appropriate sleep training. She is given so much love and attention. Even though she's only 1, she loves to play with "the big kids" and partakes in the same learning and play. We noticed an acceleration in her physical development due to the interactions she has there. She was crawling within about a week of joining. She had definitely advanced socially as well, as she waves and says buhbye and gets excited to see and play with other children. She loves trying all kinds of new foods and loves her homemade meals at Bright Beginnings. We love that the center is a home care center with a fantastic ratio of care taker to children. It is close to home on a quiet and pretty cul de sac. The kids have an indoor and outdoor area. They have a water table to play with outside as a group, which our daughter loves. She has even gone on a few optional field trips to learn about science at the Discovery Cube and animals at an animal sanctuary. There are more plans for library visits and other fun educational opportunities. Every day we are given detailed summaries when we pick her up, and we get texts and photos throughout the day. We enjoy talking to everyone in the morning and afternoon, and it's fun to see the kids get excited when everyone shows up. I am so thankful we found Bright Beginnings! If you are fortunate enough like we were to secure a spot here for your child, you will be beyond grateful. I feel like I am dropping my daughter off with my siblings every day. She usually has brief "overall day" discussions with every parent (if they choose) about your child's day. The communication is amazing, effortless, and personable and you feel so informed and confident that you've made the best decision of putting your child there. She even helped us in getting our daughter to sleep on her own! We have also seen dramatic changes in our daughters behavior and the passion they are instilling in her to learn! Promoting intellectual and emotional growth without compromising the essence of childhood is a task often taken for granted. From the moment I walked in the door (pre-covid) the environment was warm and welcoming. My son was only 10 months old, not walking but very loving. I have watched my son learn colors, numbers and letters. He learned to share. He has had fun with art projects and water play (during the summer). He talks non-stop and so curious now, they encouraged him talk and really communicate. Potty training was scary as a first time mom of a boy but they made it a flawless teamwork transition. He was fully potty trained by 2 1/2. My son loves playing with all the other kids and it truly feels like a community. He runs in to see his friends every day with a giant smile on his face. Lastly, there were days that I was feeling overwhelmed as a mom, I didn't know how to handle a behavior situation at home and I felt I could talk to them and really absorb their advice. About 3 years ago we were looking for new childcare and after touring with Cynthia we knew we found the right spot! One of the things that stood out to me was the beautiful pictures of all the kids she had up in her house, her love for the children, both past and present, was abundantly clear. Cynthia and Ashley go above and beyond to make days special for the kids: lots of wonderful crafts, special water play toys, holiday celebrations, handmade gifts for parents that are priceless... just to name a few things. During his time there, he developed his social skills, thrived in the classroom, and enjoyed a variety of activities that were not only rooted in the curriculum but also full of fun. After two wonderful years, we were sad to say goodbye, but we were fortunate to return in 2021 with our daughter. In this loving and nurturing environment, she flourished. We witnessed so many milestones--her first steps, first words, and an adventurous palate that grew with the variety of foods she experienced. After three years, she graduated alongside her cohort, but the friendships she made there are lifelong. Some of the children are even her classmates now in elementary school. Every time she sees Cynthia or Ashley, she runs to hug them because she misses them dearly! We still walk by to say hello, because Peaceful Mind Child Care truly gave us peace of mind.
