Going down at a few minutes past 9:00 it was all packed up, so off we went to Major's. A little miffed already we were told to grab a table, which we did, and then sat there for, in my mind, too long prior to getting menus. From there it got better, but our server seemed a bit disinterested and wishing she was elsewhere. We both ordered the Majors breakfast. Bacon and eggs, hashbrowns and toast. The choices of bread available was extensive and we settled on the house made bread, what a great choice, the pieces were huge. My sunny up eggs were nicely cooked, the hashbrowns well cooked and the bacon thick and crispy as asked for. The lovely K picked eggs poached medium which they also were. We found the food cooled very quickly, maybe some warm plates might be in order. The ambiance could use an upgrade, and it looked like someone had run into the exterior corner of the building with hasty repairs evident. Halfway through our meal, we somehow got the other server that was on, and she was far more engaged. We had a nice chat while paying heating of her experience going to school in Ontario and being home for the Summer. Solid amount of food quite well prepared at very fair prices in our mind.

Waiter personable. Maybe a tad busy as we had over half meal gone waiting for water refill but then got a lovely bottle of chilled water ( do that at the start and you're golden) The chicken quesadilla was good and Cesar salad crisp and not soaked in dressing - delicious! Bacon cheeseburger delicious with very generous side of roasted potatoes Steak was quite well done ( not asked how we wanted it). Apparently they assume medium but it was well done. Still tasted good!! Tipping-I can't stand that tipping is on post tax amount as it should be on pretax. When I see that I just hit 15% instead of 20%. Overall-would say good place to eat and would go again!

Our server brought us our black coffee and water, while we browsed the seasonal menu for offerings. I ordered up a serving of the Bahn Mi Sandwich, which came with a side of plain chips/ a serving of pickles. Whilst my partner had a Quiche with Cheddar chive biscuit. The dishes were pretty flavourful and enjoyable, my first time trying Quiche & the Bahn Mi sandwich (which was pretty delicious, so good!). I plan to visit this cafe more often, their menu though small; seems to have some very interesting dishes.

I had the bacon cheeseburger lettuce wrapped, and was blown away by the meat. It's quality for what it is. Like most of the new social houses that popped up. Kind of a neat ambience. The service was great, fast and friendly. The menu is large with some neat options like the rainbow trout I had. Drink menu also great. My plate looked amazing. However it was bland tbh. It was good and looked great but I did find not the most flavourful. I would for sure go back and try something else though.
