Well spaced out and stock was clear and organized. My girlfriends after a wig so ive seen a few of these places and im starting to wonder how they could do things differently. It hit me in this one: Customer Service. Out of all the shops we've been in this might be the first one with a shop keeper to ask what we were looking for an engage in a conversation. Made all the difference. Still no wig though.

I went in to have a look at the wigs. The lady in store was quite friendly and helpful but they didn't have what I was after. There are all kinds of hair products and many colours and styles of wig. They also sell oil burners, which you an smell as you enter the store.

They seem to specialise in afro-hair products and hair extensions in all varieties. I don't think I've seen that much fake hair under one roof but on the plus side you can find extensions which match to all different hair types. I didn't get a friendly vibe off the people serving, they didn't say hello and just seemed to stare at me. It doesn't make for comfortable browsing. Things which caught my eye were hair mayonnaise (how strange!), tubs of styling gel as big as my face and a big selection of fake eyelashes (something I do occasionally wear on nights out). The wigs also looked pretty cool, but I think they were all for serious wig-wearers rather than me who would spend no more than a fiver on a comedy wig.

For some reason, most of the wigs are black. The last thing I want is a wig in the same colour as my hair but I guess if you want it to look natural then it makes sense. Now a balding asian man isn't expected to have great hair but if your surrounded by wigs all day im sure you'd give into temptation eventually and put one on. This shop is cramped to the point where if there is someone else browsing you have to keep moving down the isle as getting 2 people next to each other would push over the shelving. All the hair products and treatments you could wish for, with all the fake hair you'll never hopefully need.

I spent…read moresome time trying out different salons since moving to the UK and am pleased as punch to have found Sixth Sense. Every person on staff is so friendly and welcoming. They really live up to their company values of making each customer feel special. I see stylist, Kimmy. She is fabulous. I can take in pictures and swatches of colors and she creates my vision. There is a reason the Sixth Sense stylists keep bringing home national hair awards. Every time I leave Sixth Sense, I feel like a million bucks without having to shell out a ton of money. Sixth Sense offers student discounts and have a loyalty card offering free products after just a few visits. Check their Facebook page for last minute booking discounts as well. The salon space is small but very well laid out. The staff always greet you promptly when entering and offer you a beverage of choice straight away. They make a great latte to boot. The styling chairs are comfortable as are the hair washing stations. While you don't get a massage at the washing station, you do always get a nice scalp massage and a perfectly coiffed 'do. If you're near the Sutton Coldfield area and looking for a salon, I cannot recommend Sixth Sense enough.

The staff are clued-up and always willing to give help when prompted and there's a clean, friendly atmosphere inside, deriving from the store's spotless shelves, simple layout and quiet location. Unfortunately, things are a little cramped inside due to excessive stock and narrow aisles. On busier days, I can never seem to shake off the fear of knocking things over whilst attempting to manoeuvre around customers. I'd definitely recommend Mitchell W. Phillips', but try to avoid school coming-out time, as that's usually when things are at their busiest.
