Now if any man knows where to get a good deal in the Sandhills, it's that man so how could I resist. I enjoy the pleasures of man-themed pampering as much as the next guy (I think?) so I drug my willing girlfriend down to do a little shopping along the streets and shops of downtown aberdeen - on another note, if you haven't been to Aberdeen lately, you'd be surprised to find the quality of stores down there. That is for another review I guess. So I arrived and was greeted by some good ole boys and man they have a good thing going. First off there isn't a whole lot of competition because for no good reason that I can see men haven't been allowed to enjoy the good old barber shop experience. Until now that is. The owner is a young guy who knows what he is doing and may be in the running for my first regular grooming destination since I was a small child. The haircut was professional, the atmosphere is up and coming with what I'm sure will be a few hiccups but all in all this establishment deserves five stars for originality - albeit retro -, service, price and overall customer experience.' There may be other barbers in the area but this will be my stop next Saturday to get the weekly cut. I may go for the straight razor shave again just because it's a cool experience, who really cares that a gillette in my own hand will beat it out in terms of speed and accuracy but then again that isn't the point after all anyway.

I looked around to see who he was speaking to and realized he was directing it at my 14‑year‑old son, who stood quietly next to me. Mark continued to glare at him aggressively--there was no sign of familiarity or humor. He then said, "There are some people leaving; they'll get the door." The whole interaction was unnecessary and uncomfortable. It felt like an attempt to assert dominance rather than welcome customers. The shop itself has talent--Sara gave me one of the best haircuts I've had in the Pines--but the atmosphere is toxic. Mark's loud, aggressive demeanor seems to intimidate the staff, which may explain why so many appointment slots remain open. This kind of behavior doesn't create a professional or relaxed environment, especially when families or young clients are present. Hopefully, management will address this and bring back the friendly, skilled vibe that Sara and others clearly work hard to provide.

Love the interior decor and feeling. I definitely felt like I shouldn't have been there, definitely a men's vibe which is really nice. Loved the seats. Our barber who I didn't even get his name was really nice and accommodating to my step dad moving around a lot in discomfort. Definitely a nice experience for him and moderately priced.
