The owner is very friendly and it is definitely more of an old fashioned style shop. They offer a multitude of services and are on of a few left that still use straight razors. The only drawback I have is that it is a cash only establishment. While I absolutely love the service and atmosphere, cash is something I normally don't think to carry anymore. However, there is an ATM within the shop if you don't have cash on you. I recommend this shop as it is a shop that is wholesome, clean, and a place you can get a great cut.

Since working in Fayetteville, but living in Aberdeen, I decided to find a barber close to work, and I stumbled across Jack and Mike's. For 8 months I have been walking-in, and Mike has been cutting my hair. Very pleasant Gentleman, great haircut, seems like an all-around nice guy. Well, today 11 Sep 2026, I walked-in around 0830 and there were 2 other customers waiting, so I took a seat. About 5 minutes later, "Jack" looked at me and asked, "Do you have an appointment?" to which I replied, "No Sir, I have always just walked-in, I wasn't aware that I needed to make an appointment." He then simply responded with "Sorry, wish I could help you", turned around and went back to cutting a customer's hair. I sat there for a few seconds, processing what he said, honestly, in disbelief. Really?! I have been coming here for 8 months, and that's what you say to me? That's how you treat your customers? I came in a few months ago and suffered through the shop not having Air Conditioning, didn't complain once, and even though I was soaked in sweat and about lost 10 lbs, I still gave a tip. Why? Because I enjoyed the haircut, and I wanted to support a local small business. In the last month, I had a heart attack, my house burned down, and I messed up my back. I had been looking forward to get my haircut from Mr. Mike. A fresh start to a new month. What should of been a delightful day, instead started off with me being disrespected. When a man finds a good Barber, its sacred, loyal, and welcoming. That's what I thought I had here. Nothing was different today. Well, I was wearing pink shorts. Was it the pink shorts? I guess I will never know. I am not dumb, I know that this business will continue to operate without me as a customer but just tread lightly. Recommended to me by a stranger whose haircut I admired, found myself at Konnectikut. Believe years ago may have gotten a haircut at Konnectikuts before. The place is a mecca for interesting conversations while you wait not so long your turn for a haircut, edge up, beard shaped, or eyebrows shaped. I enjoyed getting my hair cut by Mr. Doug, but he is not the only barber and both are really nice. I was in and out in no time and I was not the first or second person my second time around when I wanted a haircut. Glad I was able to rediscover Konnectikut. I was legitimately about to shave my entire head because the amount of people who have worked on my shave made it crooked, accidentally taken more off then I wanted, or just suck in general. Sooooo, I said screw it and walked in here on a slow day. Erica listened to my qualms and told me it was an easy fix. She made my part straight, showed me exactly how much she had to take off, and made sure I was super happy with everything before she touched my hair. She also has long hair and understood how devastated I was to be taking more off. Unfortunately, I am moving and will not be able to see her more than two or three times, but I'm so happy she was able to fix my hair and make me feel confident again!!! I can't speak for the other stylists in the shop, but my husband also goes here and is happy with the majority of the hair cuts he has received.
