I dont know where to start. The principle solicitor throughout 18 months of dealing with us and dozens of meetings and telephone conversations EVERYTIME we visited or called could not remember who we were or what our business with him was about.. and even when we had booked an appointment in advance he never seemed to know where our file was.. constantly quoting My secretary must have left it at the other office. The will they had been holding for my late mother took 4 months to find! only to go missing twice more while working on our file! The delays were ridiculous, constant mentions of stuck in post or its on someones desk waiting to be typed up.. out of date documents in relation to the property. Not to mention over the course of 18 months there rarely seemed to be the same staff. he's left, she was useless so we got rid of her etc etc. sorry bear with us this ones new and doesnt know what shes doiing yet..A complete fiasco from day one. We would call one day to be told no progress had been made and get a bill the next suggesting hours of work had been put in yet still with no progress to report at all! The bills we received seemed to bear no resemblance to what we had seen with our own eyes and they admitted to several mistakes in the adding up. They couldnt even get the VAT right! Interchanging between 17 and a half and 20 percent randomly.Between all that and the lack of response to emails and phone calls.. our solicitor seemed to spend more time on holiday than in his office! Clearly taking a lot of money and doing little for it he could afford such luxury.Avoid at all costs if you expect any progress, return or to be left with your sanity intact.! read more
