I used to come here to buy coils for my Evolve Pen. I've been coming to this store for about a year now buying the same shit. The workers there aren't that unfamiliar with me. I went in to get a suorin drop and it was my first vape that I've bought. They charged me around 43$ and later I looked online and found multiple listings for like 25$. It sucks too because I was thinking of going in again to buy a rolling tray and maybe a pipe as well. If your intuition tells you not to have anything to do with this place, follow it please! You won't waste 70 dollars and you'll save yourself a lot of grief. This place is dirty, degraded, smells like smoke and is run by creeps that look like junkies who sold me H2Ocean spray for 15 dollars but gave it to me four dollars off because I bought it the same time as my piercing (how nice). I came in another time to buy more and was told it was 5 dollars. Totally played me! And I fell for it! When I went into the back to be pierced, I had to walk through the bong and pipe room. I don't smoke so this was off-putting and then I go into the room, where there is an ashtray with a cigarette in it. NOT sanitary! He plays loud rap music and gets started. He did the procedure right but besides that, everything was wrong. Chad, the piercer, had no actual knowledge about dermal piercings. I found this out when I went in for help when it was rejecting. (Which they often do) He thought I was growing a keloid. Also, he gave me the absolute wrong top for a healing piercing (a star. Lots of corners!) He never gave me any info about what places were bad for dermals etc. I was VERY stupid to trust this guy. I just wanted it to work so much. Anyone thinking, "oh its close and kinda inexpensive" my advice for you is to not be stupid and don't waste your time. A friend of mine just bought a product at this store and when they went home to check it out online there was a big warning sign on their web page telling of counterfeit products being sold and to check the batch number. They did and found it was one of the bad batches. After making a phone call to the store and getting no where, they printed out the warning and went back to the store. The people there were less than help full and not until after voices were raised and much insistence did my friend get an exchange. This one checked out as good but the store was not concerned they were selling products that do NOT WORK! So beware shoppers! I went here to get my lip pierced, and I really don't recommend them to anyone. The piercer was really dirty and smoking a cigarette in the shop. He used a normal sized bar on my lip and it swelled up so bad i had to go to Staircase in Santa Cruz to have it fixed. The piercer there proceded to tell me that Graffix isnt even legally allowed to pierce! They didn't sanitize properly and are very unprofessional, he wasn't even going to tell me how to care for the piercing until I asked him before I left. If you are thinking of getting a piercing there, look elsewhere! You get what you pay for at Graffix, cheap and dirty! read more

I'm a longtime customer of basically all smoke shops in Santa Cruz and vaguely the surrounding towns. my final, 2-year consensus? go to pipeline. I had a couple friends buying this simple, efficient dab pen for $60 which turned out to be from this store. The pen itself works fine, however I recently went to my store of choice (pipeline - where they not only recognize regulars, but also give local discounts and DON'T make you feel like a trespasser) and purchased a similar-looking dab pen for $30. later, I find out it's the EXACT brand my friends bought at this store, however pipeline was selling it for literally half price. to be honest I've liked this store enough and can tolerate/respect certain levels of drinking, disinterest, and vague creepiness because they sell the big cans of butane and tobacco for slightly cheaper and they'll usually be open later than pipeline. but come on, DOUBLING a price? that's just silly. I can get a metal carb cap at Graffix for either $39 or $49 I believe, or pick up a quartz one from pipeline for $14. I know they're not really worried about their business but come on guys let's try to get it together here. I'm pretty lazy myself but professionalism isn't THAT hard. UPDATE: Adding a star because, if you're a local, they're workable. I had 2 newport rose gold torches die/not function properly and they were helpful without difficulty. I was even loaned a black torch until the next shipment of rose gold came in. this place is strange, that definitely hasn't changed. but I have to give credit where credit is due. read more

The employee who assisted me was a total prick, from the moment I asked for his assistance. I had to return to the store 2 times! Because he gave me defective merchandise. As I walked in the third time laughing about it because I thought it was ridiculous but funny, I asked him if he was messing with me? As I give him the second broken item in a row, he takes it and throws it across the room and it shatters against the wall! He was acting like a total psycho, it obviously startled his co-worker as well as myself. He proceeds to accuse me of lying, implying that I had broke the two items in a row on my way to/from my car which was parked directly in front if the store. This employee has some serious anger issues and/or a problem with women. If you choose to work in a smoke shop, who gives you the authority to judge what your customers purchase? If I were the owner of this business I would be mortified to have an employee acting like this and would want to know if I did. I will never be coming here again as long as this abusive and disrespectful person works here and I will continue to warn people of the mistreatment they could very likely receive. Pretty surprised to see such a low rating. My boyfriend and I took roughly an hour to find exactly what we were looking for. They seemed a bit overstaffed (4 people on a slow night) but each staff member was happy to help us and they were all very patient. My only criticism is Graffix may be a bit too relaxed. While I enjoy the "kick-back" vibe, I did not enjoy that the manager and a lady were having a business meeting out in the middle of the shop. They were kind of in our way and were speaking loudly. Yikes!! If you care about your piercings, DO NOT go here!! I have a nose ring but I had to change it out for a plain stud due to a job interview. I thought I'd be saving money, but boy was I wrong. First of all, super unhelpful girl at the front. Didn't care to explain anything, didn't even care that I was there. I paid $11 for the stud and realized there was only a teeny tiny ball at the end holding it all together. I asked her about it, and she said something along the lines of "that's just the way it is". Um, okay. I went to Way Body Arts to have the stud inserted, since Graffix doesnt accommodate for that (what kind of piercing store is this place?). The sweet girl at Way told me about how BAD those studs are for you, but since I was in a rush I had her insert it anyways. After the interview, I touch my nose and the stud is completely GONE. It fell out of my nose because the back wasnt secure. I had to go back to Way and have them insert another stud I had. 2 insert fees at $5 each, plus $11 for the stupid stud. Horrible customer service, and definitely not worth the initial cheap cost. I will be going to Way Body Arts for the more expensive, but way more worthy and reliable jewelry. read more

I do enjoy this shop, however the jewelry is shit, it breaks super easy (because it's all made in China) and it's ridiculous because once you buy it and walk out the store, if it breaks you cant get an exchange or your money back. I do not recommend buying jewelry from this shop. The clothes are too pricey for how they look and the material they use to make it. In the back of the store you'll see all their pipes/bongs etc.. Very nice selection but simply too expensive, you can go to at least three other shops in town for around the same selection for a much cheaper price. The only thing i truly recommend for this store is piercings, they recently got a new piercer that I was able to meet, super sweet, chill dude. He doesn't charge for jewelry, only the piercings, you'll be surprised when you walk in and read the prices, they are at least half of what the cost is anywhere else in town. You can also have him pierce with your own jewelry that way you can get a nice ring/hoop/stud and they wont charge any extra. All together Graffix is a good shop, just pricey. They have a lot of interesting things I defiantly recommend at least stopping in when you are downtown it's a good shop to window shop in or you may find something you really like, you never know. This is not a bad store and I do enjoy the energy in there, I've never been sexually harassed or been talked to in a rude way EVER and I've been going to Graffix for over 4 years now. The staff is nice, helpful, relatable, and funny. The prices on some of their products blew me away with how cheap they are, I can understand how some people would say that other products are over priced. But now after a long time I come back to visit for my girls birthday and we go see whats there looking for birthday presents I can spoil her with and this Chad lookin mo fo that I probably sold overpriced grams to back in high school keeps buggin askin if we need help it was cool at first then I go to check out for one rolling tray she picked out for 25$ and some insens sticks 100 shorties for 10$ I pay the 37$ it came out to he told me and maybe some change and then as im about to leave he says "whoops I charged you for the wrong thing I'll refund you the insens and give you a deal that should come out to 21$" I was like "okay thank you do I need to reinsert my debit card?" He says nope, im like sure not Trippin on it at all and leave. Next day I check my bank account... the Chad charged me 47$ its its whatever just dont bs a customer and tell them your givin them a deal and then rip them off... maybe?... might be payback for the shagg i sold him in HS lol and maybe higher someone that can handle their weed and know how to use a cash register lmfao... read more
