A great new addition to the coffee places scene in Prague. I wish there were more cafes like this…read more Nice and interesting interior with amazing pieces of art, relaxed atmosphere and great coffee as well as wine. You can also grab some light food and cakes, which makes this place a great choice for breakfast, afternoon tea or work meetings. The service is good, even though sometimes you need to wait a bit longer for the waitress to come. I would only recommend that the sandwiches could be more fresh - the bread was not as soft as it could be. But nevertheless all the sandwiches I have tried were amazing. I can definitely recommend the one with goat cheese.
Galerie Le Court, Prague: 2 reviews and 5 photo…read more This cafe is basically hidden from street view in a private apartment building. Wander through the Hatalska entrance, into a charming courtyard and keep to your left. It used to be one of the most relaxed places I have ever been to. Strictly beverage service with almost no nibbles. You would always see an interesting mix of locals and residents of the building holding "Court"! The former owner runs one of the best flower shops in the entire city in the same building. The Courtyard is open in the warmer months. My most recent visit was August 2015 under the new ownership. It is a disaster. All the comfy furniture removed. Now looks like a school room for truant students. Only saving graces are the very nice staff, Don and Lucy.

We came by Friday night without a reservation and were the last party seated for a while, phew!…read more This is a standard gastropub filled with locals (always a good sign) and run by very friendly, English-speaking staff. They serve traditional Czech fare here with huge portions at low prices - our meal came out to around USD $10 each. Very casual atmosphere that shades toward the rowdier side of things. It's nothing special, but good food just a few minutes walk from the hotel is a win in my book.
