Recently while I was in the Hopkinsville I happen to stop by gracious me. The staff in there were quite helpful the selection of gifts was very nice. I was here in town recently for a class reunion, but if I lived here full-time I do believe this would be the place to buy unique gift items. When I'm in Hopkinsville, KY, for work, I typically don't think, "Let's go shopping!" That was until I found out about Gracious Me! Some locals suggested it, and since I love to shop at a unique place, off I went! I've since been in a few time and have taken colleagues, and we are all fans. The store offers a wide variety of home decor, gifts, children's items, jewelry, handbags, knickknacks, and even some foods. If you come, give yourself some time, because there's a lot to look at. In a larger city, a store like this would not be all that rare, but in Hoptown/western Kentucky, it is a true gem! Some items do seem slightly overpriced, but not unaffordable. They don't always have things I particularly want... In fact, I think I have only bought gifts for other people here... But I still look forward to shopping here. There is a parking lot out front of the small strip building Gracious Me is in, and the staff is always friend. Don't visit Hopkinsville without stopping in Gracious Me! read more

Unique, friendly & the ONLY place to shop in the area for gifts and home decor. Much more friendly than any place you would shop in Nashville or the surrounding. Not to mention the place always has people shopping so I'm guessing they don't actually have a problem with customer service. The ladies are always helpful in putting gift ideas together & will even help w decorating a table, mantle, etc. To say that this store is anything like Hallmark, Hobby Lobby, etc is slightly on the ridiculous side. If you have lived in Hopkinsville for any amount of time, you will appreciate the hard work that goes into making this a unique & beautiful shop. You can tell by the displays, decor, and set ups that there is a lot of love, passion, & hard work that goes into Gracious Me! For anyone who loves to shop, that is always appreciated! I've been back a few more times to look at certain items. I bought some cute binder clips in their knick-knack section. I will vouch for the customer service and go on to say the ladies are pretty friendly. I gave them an extra star for original decor pieces. However, I still think they're pretty high priced on baby items, home decor, and kitchen stuff. I understand supporting your local businesses, but not when they're overpriced. Whenever some stuff goes on sale, sure. But not a retail price. Sorry. read more

I generally go into this store to "look around" or with a gift for someone else in mind, but I always walk out with something extra for myself! The wonderful owners and their team have a sense of style and class that makes them, and the store, inviting and quite charming. I always feel comfortable browsing, asking for decor advice, or asking about new products or custom orders. I appreciate the details that are put into their displays as well as their focus on personalized merchandise. This store is always a favorite and a "go to" when celebrating all of life's moments. Overpriced, cramped, and way to busy. I hate going to this store because you have to slide your way through the store overcrowded with breakable items. Then wait in line longer than you do at Wal-Mart! Only went because I was in a pinch for a gift. It was much later I found out they wrap gifts for free. Not a single sales clerk told me of gift wrapping. With the gift wrap, the extremely overpriced items may be slightly closer to fair value. This store is for someone in a real pinch for a gift, or someone who loves overpaying for average quality merchandise. read more

I visited Gracious Me yesterday because I was in need of a few cute gifts for some friends. Not only did I find the perfect gifts for my friends, I found several great buys for myself as well. I've never been in the store when I didn't walk out with a bag or bags full of goodies. You won't find anything else like this store in Hopkinsville or the surrounding areas. The staff are always friendly and helpful and if you just want to browse around, they will let you roam the store as long as you like. They've even stayed open past the store closing time so that I didn't feel rushed while shopping (even though it was my fault for not allowing myself enough time to shop). Did I mention free gift wrapping??? Wedding gifts, registries, baby gifts, home décor and furnishings, beautiful jewelry, great scarves and purses, gifts for all occasions....you can find whatever you need at Gracious Me! I cannot beleive that anyone would ever find anything wrong with this unique shop. I just love it!!! Any time I need to buy a gift for someone, whether it's bridal, baby, birthday, etc., I'm there. Sometimes I actually buy a gift, but if not, I always buy a gift card. There is so much to choose from. The ladies are always freindly and very helpful.
