Went to store for a return. Gave counter help box and paper work for the return. Box needed to be…read moretaped up. And gave them the paperwork. UPS stated sure they can tape up. Well the correct paper work was NOT put on the box. How do I know? Because the box was returned to me with an awful tape job. Have to get the box out today for the return - found a place open late and we know that have people that will do it correctly. My advice do not leave the store until you see the finished product.

My husband and I needed a document notarized for a power of attorney in a real estate deal. We are…read moreCanadian but since the property we were selling was in the US, we had to go to an American Public Notary. We anted one close to the border in Windsor so we called several and received a message to expect a call in 24 hours. My husband called A& K Mobile Notary Services at 4487 Bishop Road in Detroit Mich. My husband asked the hours and she encouraged him to give a time to ensure she would be there. He advised 3 PM and she said the time would be saved for us. My husband confirmed the address. We left in plenty of time because we did not know how long it would take to cross the border and arrived at the address, a private home, at 2:30 PM. My husband rang the doorbell several times and no one answered. I then called her from my cell phone and she advised that she had to pick up her grandchildren and would be back at 4 PM. We waited in our car because we did not know of any other notary close by. At 4 PM I called again and she advised she would be another 10 minutes. At 4:15 she arrived with her grandchildren. She said she was sorry but it dawned on her after confirming that she had to pick up her grandchildren. She started filling out the form and asked why we did not have the witnesses filled out before. She chastised that she was a mobile notary and usually did this in people's home (presumably where witnesses were available). She had not asked us if witnesses were required on the form. I suggested that she try a neighbour and she advised she was new to the neighbourhood but reluctantly agreed. After some time she returned to advise that the neighbour was unwilling to sign I seem to recall because they were not of age. She stamped the form and suggested that we get someone back home to witness. This was an outrageous experience. I have to assume she has call display and could have called us to advise of this conflict. It was a terrible inconvenience. On the phone she advised us the cost was $30 and charged us $50. It was a one page form requiring a stamp and signature. The delays resulted in our crossing the border to go home at rush hour. I am on oxygen and was concerned I would run out. I definitely do not recommend this service.
