I lost my son unexpectedly in early 2023. I was beyond devastated. It traumatized our whole family with this loss. He was only 32 years old. The guilt and sadness overcame us. I needed to talk to someone to keep my sanity. We reached out to several resources and no one returned our calls. Finally we reached out to GracePoint Grief. Dr. Dias responded to our call within 2 hours. we set up a meeting with my husband and me for the next week at our home. After meeting Dr. Dias, we felt we had met our counselor. She is incredible with her knowledge of life and death. Amazing person to help us work through our loss. She listened, understood it all. Being a death doula, she has a unique understanding of of the dying process. She taught us techniques in coping and going on to living again without our son. Good morning! It gives me great pleasure to recommend the GracePointe Grief Center - for the past several years, I've been working with one counselor in particular, Mary Dias . I thank Mary for giving me the confidence, courage, and emotional tools to move forward in dealing with my paralyzing grief I had lost my husband of 45 years, and Mary's experience in this field and her way of presenting offered me a "blanket of support" when I needed it most - she would lead me towards a goal in such a way, that i naturally grasped all her insight without question - our relationship grew with each appointment- she knew exactly when to "push" and when to sit still - I'll be forever in her debt for helping me navigate through this horrific loss - I continue to be a work in progress - I take comfort in knowing I can call her at any time if I find myself slipping - Thank you for this opportunity to "sing her praises" ! read more

I was once a violent, angry, and a very broken woman. I was sexually abused as a child experiencing and witnessing abuse throughout my life. I was stuck inside myself never finding freedom from the horrific thoughts I had daily. At first speaking with Mari I was resistant, not thinking it would ever make a difference seeing as how I saw counselors since the age of eight years old. But Mari never faltered and continued our therapy sessions unlocking things that no one could ever get me to speak about. Mari Gave me tools to find forgiveness for the ones that had hurt me and forgiveness for myself; also tools to help me tame my anger not letting me get absorbed and lash out violently. If I wouldn't have been privileged to see Mari I feel as though deliverance from my addiction, and violence would have never been possible. read more
