So many members are involved in music, day care, coffee bar, often bringing homemade treats. The children have creative Sunday school teachers in an artistic setting, teens have their own group also. They don't always "get it right" in the office, but you can tell they are doing the best they can with their limited resources. During the mid-80's I moved out of the Lafayette area and took my membership with me. While "gone" I attended churches in Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey and then back to Illinois. In the end, I still live in Illinois, but have moved my membership back to this beloved church in Lafayette Indiana. There is just something in your heart when you know you are "home", even if my church is 145 miles away.

It was such an encouragement that there are Christians who practice what they preach! The loving staff and the wonderful pastors at this church really get involved with outreach into the lives of those around them, their city, their community and the international people at Purdue University. I have watched them grow from a small church into a great big church and they haven't lost anything. They host conferences for other ministers, men, women, youth, and several other groups around the entire year and it is such a unique way to reach out to the world around them. What a great group of people! Many of the people that go to this church I include in my daily life!
