It was a great experience to immerse in the home that The King himself chose and lived in. I like how you get to walk into y he house and see the rooms, except the upstairs bedrooms. I like the indoor and outdoor space they had. Compared tot eh homes that are available today, it's not as grand. But considering when this home was built and the value of money before, this was luxurious!

Wow, so much to see! We could have spent an entire day here! Can't recommend it enough. The only thing I would note is that some of gift shops close early (could just be because we were there on Saturday) so grab your goodies early! We can't wait to come home and spin our new Elvis records!!!

We enjoyed visiting the mansion. Would return if I had the opportunity. We did take the VIP tour and wish we had a bit more time it felt rushed as the tour begins at 1:45pm and the house closes at 6:00pm. Feedback to the Graceland team is considering allowing more time in the UVIP tour.

PROS: he lived like a king. All rooms were open and all had their unique style. All furniture is original and we even got to see the backyard with his pool and burial CONS: it costs $84 a person to tour the mansion and other museums. A middle class family of four can't afford this OVERALL: despite its costs, I thought it was worth it regardless of if you're a fan of Elvis

Graceland has always been on my list of places to visit in the USA. It's like a true piece of Americana - Mt. Rushmore, Lincoln Monument, see Old Faithful, visit Elvis' home in Memphis.... Finally, I've done it! It was awesome to visit. I came on a cold day in early January and there were no lines mid-day and it was a very relaxed and uncrowded visit. I'm sure when there are large groups in summer it can be a huge pain - but my experience, while cold, was fun. All the staff are wonderful - it's a pretty relaxed tour where you are self-guided through the rooms and you are offered an I-Pad and headphones to take with you but don't need them since it's the same info on the plaques in each room. I saw the main sitting room, dining room, momma Prestley's room, the living room, downstairs tv and bar area, the pool room, and the carport and office as well as the raquetball court and a trophy room as well as the graves of Elvis and his parents and now, Lisa Marie and her son. Shuttles run pretty regularly between the Graceland visitor center and the mansion and you can't just walk up or go in on your own - you'll need to enter through the main entrance and visitor center. I like how it is organized and well-run. The visit to the home took me about 40 minutes self-guided with no crowds.

Great Experience! Somewhat haphazardly staffed during off season, overall, expensive but worth the ticket. So many accomplishments from Elvis. A whole day (6-8 hours) is needed to see it all. Allocate time and bring enough water. Food diner is available but perhaps also bring snacks in your car as you park. Go early to get a closer parking space. A lot to see and remember from Elvis and his short life. If in Memphis Tenn, gotta stop to look if you are an Elvis fan. New exhibits under development as well. Get the tour where you go inside the Graceland mansion, that is better than not going inside the house.

This was a bucket list item that has now been checked off! Graceland was an amazing experience. We had no idea what to expect. The mansion is just like it looked back in the 70's. Although it was much smaller than I had expected. Across the street are the museums which are separated. Cars, icons, history, his plane, etc. The memorial garden where the family is laid to rest is nice and reverent. Like most attractions, Graceland is very commercialized. Review your tour options carefully and pick the best one for you. There are tickets for all of the mini-museums, airplanes and Graceland. Each mini-museum dumps you out into a gift shop. The museum complex does have a couple of restaurants and an ice cream/candy shop. We went after school had started so we had no problems with parking or lines!

Talk about a walkthrough autobiography!! This is a whole day affair as we spent a good 7+ hours at the park PLUS the mansion. There is SOOO much information. Signed the wall and took lots of pictures. Paid my respects and soaked everything in. The mansion tour is a little rushed depending on where you are in the group or how many pictures you like to take

    Iconic stairs decorated for Christmas

There is something so nostalgic about Graceland Mansion. It is walking into a piece of history that is so well preserved. Hubby and I arrived at the Mansion via a VIP shuttle for our VIP tour. We were welcomed in at the VIP lounge area where a short movie clip was shown. The front of the Mansion was crowded, but the crowds dissipated across the mansion grounds. The Mansion was beautifully decorated for Christmas. There were so much to see in addition to the house. Many know of the Jungle Room, but I was impressed by the kitchen... it's large size and state of the art appliances for that era. During the self-guided tour, we heard complaints that the house was "small" and was not a mansion. These individuals are seeing the Mansion from their modern eyes and lost fact that this beautiful house was a mansion in the late 50s/early 60s timeframe. A wonderful visit for any Elvis fan!

Well worth of anyone's time when visited this place. Aside from learning much more about The King, visiting the mansion and his grave is like giving respect to this artist that everyone adores and loved. If you are not a fan, you will fall for him and if an avid fan, will keep falling in love with him again. Each room in the mansion has different theme that is quite unique. Each room touches every one hearts especially the grave site. Please visit Audi the exhibit center a-crossed the street to fully experience Elvis.

The whole Graceland experience was beyond my thoughts. The Mansion is beautiful, I suggest purchasing the $84 package and except the tablet and headset they have a lot of information. With this package you get to visit the Graceland property, visit his cars, motorcycles, a huge selection of his outfits from concerts and military uniforms, walk through his plain (Lisa Marie) & much much more.

We took the 4 hour tour here as we are big Elvis fans. It was highlight of our trip. Tour guide was very good and knowledgeable; very friendly and open to answering questions. The best part of the tour was the grave sight as we were able to really feel the presence of Elvis there. Sad that he was buried next to his still-born brother, parents, wife and daughter. This tour was very memorable and so glad we were there. Highly recommend!

Our guide was very funny and knowledgeable (and he's a musician to boot!). We did the tour and the upstairs part has a recreation of the Dewey O DJ booth which is very cool. There is even a "smash" hit record on the floor in the booth! Inside museum cases are some original equipment and posters, etc. of some of the greats signed by Sun Studio. The downstairs recording studio (still in use daily) is timeless with an original microphone and the piano that the greats once played while recording. . We got to pose with the microphone and see lots of real equipment actually used by the likes of Elvis, Sam Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, etc. And of course, some of the original recording equipment used by founder Sam Phillips. The gift shop and small bar up front are a great touch both before and after the tours. Don't miss this legendary place.

For anyone who finds this post, a mere speck amidst an ocean of reviews, I need you to understand…read moresomething. This is one of the greatest tours I've ever taken! For context, you have to comprehend that I've visited 82 countries, all seven continents, and countless museums and historic sites around the globe! I don't bestow these compliments lightly, because the unfortunate side effect of all that travel is that I've become almost impossible to impress. But on a rainy Saturday afternoon while walkin' in Memphis, I strolled into Sun Studio for the first time, a place I'd never visited despite a half century of living in Tennessee. It was long overdue! I entered at 10:15 a.m. shortly after the studio opened, showed my voucher that I had purchased on their website, and signed up for the 10:30 a.m. tour. And it's one of the best things I've EVER seen on all my travels which is saying something!! You can feel the spirit of rock and roll here, expertly told by our guide Krista! It really gets in your soul once you listen to the stories, hear the musical excerpts, and realize the hallowed ground upon which you stand. What other museums in Memphis lack, Sun Studio more than makes up for with just one upstairs room of exhibits that are pivotal to the development of modern music. I won't give everything away so that you're motivated to take the tour yourself. But you'll learn how Sam Phillips founded the record studio, how a broken guitar in Mississippi led to the birth of a revolutionary sound, the legendary bands who recorded here and those who were inspired by the record label. Don't miss the original neon sign from Sun Studio and a radio station set rescued from an abandoned hotel! And of course, you'll learn how a teenaged Elvis pad a few dollars for a recording session, and the employee who vouched for him before Sam Phillips realized he was the future of music! You'll also see the active studio downstairs where hundreds of legendary acts have recorded, where the same floor and acoustically designed ceiling haven't changed since the '50s! Even the same microphone that recorded all of these icons still stands in the room, perfect for tourist photo ops! Please take this tour in your lifetime!! Don't wait as long as I did!!

The experience is much more polished, and the opening film about Elvis makes his legacy easy to appreciate even if we didn't grow up knowing much about him. There are also more exhibits now, and we could tell they've invested a lot into improving it. Only downside: a really mean staff member outside the ticket area who stopped us and questioned our ticket choice quite aggressively, insisting there was no such thing as a "basic" ticket. As the person who has visited three times before, I had to explain that I meant the most basic tier they offer and then finally she let me go. It felt rude and a bit disrespectful, especially since the other staff members were so nice and welcoming. Still a great experience overall, just wish the front-line service matched the rest.
