Very careful and caring of my property as well as the barn that was so close to this tree, not to even get close while disassembling this tree! When they left the area was spotless even the pine needles and cones were raked up and taken away! Pre removal they were diligent about getting 811 out to detect utilities. They're pricing was very fair. Great experience, results from using Heartland Tree Service! +!!

The entire crew is awesome. Watching Ed work from the bucket (25 feet in the air) was like watching a surgeon who meticulously made every cut count with high precision and with great care. Higher Ground is quick and efficient. Nothing was damaged and they even cleaned up afterwards. It was nice to see that level of pride in one's work where they even blew the saw dust out of my yard. Highly recommend.

The guy would not leave us alone...even though we are completely square with a good job done on his part and a receipt we payed in full on our part. He became inappropriately attached to coming over to our property (though he and his crew never stepped inside of our home), he thought we would become couple friends, he kept dragging out the job, continued to come over...at times uninvited. He was told to never come back because the job was done. No equipment remained, yet he made up reasons to keep coming back. He even invented a "warranty" after the business was concluded to keep coming back. There was no warranty on bricks, stones and rocks. Why would there be? Eventually, Jeremy threatened (in writing) he would come over regardless of the completion of our transaction and our expressed wishes not to return. It was an incredibly creepy situation. We had to call the police, and our concerns were taken very seriously. The police seem to know him well. In fact, he had to be told "no" by the detective to him sending over a crew member. The detective also told him we will be just fine without his "warranty". A detective officially trespassed him and his company from our property. If he ever returns he will be arrested. We are completely freaked out by this guy's oddball behavior. The craziest part is, we would have completely recommended him and his company to other people. He did a really nice job. It's just his personality that makes this a hard pass for from us.

He is also personally involved in every part of the job and works his butt off! He sticks by his quote; I decided I wanted to give him a tip because he went well beyond what was required. His over twenty years of experience shows in his results. His crew were all excellent and capable. Although tree work requires heavy equipment and can lead to lawn damage, Steve tries to reduce that by using a Toro Dingo lift that uses a track drive system instead of wheels. That reduces damage to your lawn, but cannot eliminate it, especially under wet conditions, so be prepared. That is something that will be the case for whoever you choose. Summary: I would recommend Highland Tree Care to one and all, they are an experienced, knowledgeable and performance oriented tree service company. The owner, Steve Shryack is highly capable.
