What a beautiful campus…read more Came here for a conference and it was so refreshing to be on a campus that wasn't over 50 years old. The campus opened around 2005 and still looks brand new. Their fields, buildings, and lakes are all pretty. I went to the bookstore and got a pendant for my collection. I hope they keep up the beauty and appearance of the campus as years go on.

The town is too far away to be of any use (not that it's a great college town anyway, but at least it has a sandwich shop). There are no clubs, no activities, no reason to be there. I may get some flack about some small random club, but you can compare their website to any other university and judge for yourself. Students returning state they hate it. It's just a money grab. My son slipped into major depression there, sought help and was told by a counselor "you will never beat your depression". How incredibly F-up is that?!? I took it with a grain of salt, that it was his interpretation of the situation, but ultimately made the call to drive down at midnight and pull his ass out of there. Glad I did, got him the help that he really needed. Just talked to a former student that went there this semester, same story, so I'm writing this review. So parents, be very aware, you are going to have to check on your child's well being often. I would not trust anything about this campus, and it's their own doing. Please listen to them and don't be afraid to pull them out.

This is such a beautiful parish. The pews are designed in a half oval layout so you and they have a…read morelarge baptismal font in the back facing the main altar. My favorite place is the adoration chapel. It is so serene and cozy, you can really feel Jesus as you look at the blessed sacrament exposed. This church is so special to me as I used to be a part of their choir. I also like the courtyard where they have a few saint statues displayed. It was nice to see St. Therese and St. Anthony along with a rare statue I haven't seen anywhere else St. Anne and her daughter Mary (I have this prayer card but have never seen a statue of it in real life!). I didn't quite notice them here until I came the other day to pray. If you are in Merced, whether you are Catholic or not, come by and see this church and walk around their courtyard. It's a great place to take a break from our busy schedules. :-)

Merced Montessori School was recommended to us by a family whose children both attended and…read moreattribute their kids scholastic and life success to all of the staff, and owner/caretaker/instructor of this school. Unlike non-related "daycare" facilities in the area, Merced Montessori School prepares/teaches kids at a very young age (we started our daughter at 2 or before) early critical skills for their quickly approaching elementary education. This type of instruction focuses on literary/life skills and independence (you learn by making mistakes safety) rather than simply putting them into a group room and monitoring the chaos. Each morning children are assigned "jobs" and are taught to accomplish literary and physical tasks aimed at building cognitive and mechanical skills. They must keep track of their lunch, jackets, clothes etc., and have responsibilities from the moment they arrive. Free time/Play time occurs throughout the day and from what I have seen creates an environment to practice the social skills they have learned. "The First 5 Years" are unquestionably the most important years in our children's lives and for this reason we have entrusted Merced Montessori School with our daughters care and education during this formative time.... We could not have been more blessed!!

My granddaughter went here and these women were horrible. They gossip they chose sides between mothers and fathers that were separated And wouldn't listen to the parent that was trying to complain. They would be friend the mother's and then be condescending towards the fathers that they had questions to ask. I don't understand why the school is still opened. We tried to find out what the monthly payment was Because my son had to pay half and his ex-wife would not give him that info she would just verbally tell him what he owed and the owner would not give my son any information on the prices. I would never recommend this glorified daycare center
