After attending both styles of services multiple weeks we rejected this church. The people are nice, it is a good environment and well funded. The minister is nice and friendly. However his sermons multiple weeks kept going over the same ground and become redundant. They are more like a detailed bible study. After a while I found myself wishing for the end as it became boring. The music in the traditional service is limp. They have one pianist and no other instrumentation. It is mostly older hymns and mediocre vocalizations. The contemporary service is very loud. The beating of the drums is like a native ritual and covers up the rest of the instruments. DB levels were well over 100. They have a couple of guitars, and a keyboard with the drummer. It is the same style of music on most Christian radio stations these days, lacking in other instrumentation and mostly using 4 chords. Less than impressive. read more
