I have been attending this Bible-teaching church since 2015. Pastor Jon and Grace's other pastors are gospel-centered and provide in-depth sermons. There are sometimes guest pastors that provide thought-provoking and educational sermons, too. There are both English and Spanish-speaking services. It is obvious that the church leaders put a lot of thought and effort into every part of the Sunday service with not only the sermons, but the worship, the welcoming team, and hospitality. There are many other activities and programs on Sundays and throughout the week for the children, youth, Men, Women, and numerous Life Groups. These Life Groups, or small groups, meet online and in person, and provide an opportunity to not only build close relationships with others but to dig deeper into the Word. I can truly say and am grateful, that I have a church family at Grace that love and pray for one another.

You'll always hear Christ and the finished work on the Cross emphasized. Worship Leader Eric does a great job too, you can see his sincere heart for God. Bigger churches will always have at least a bit of a "production" feel but when you get to know people here you'll find them to be sincere and down to earth. I appreciate that the Southern Baptist Convention does not sway with the culture, one of the few denominations out there that doesn't it seems. Good to know there are some churches left that still aren't afraid to call sin for what it is and that Christ is the only answer to a fallen world that is only drifting further and further away.

There are Lifegroups or small groups to be involved with that are available on any night of the week to fit your schedule. This community of people has been such a support to us in so many ways. Our lifegroup has stood with us through loss of family members, sickness and cancer, joys and sorrows. Truly like family. There are people of all kinds and it is a very inclusive, accepting church. Celebrate Recovery is available on Friday nights and includes a free dinner. This is for anyone struggling with hurts, habits or hang-ups that wants to have a safe place to come. Child care and children's events and programs are amazing. Sunday night and Wednesday night Youth programs. Wednesday night Care groups for those that are walking through grief, divorce, want support for parenting, growth in their marriages, Financial Peace University and more. They have childcare on both Wednesday nights and Friday nights also. Church services stream online live or after service times on YouTube or Vimeo. There is a homeless shelter ministry with art therapy, work in the community to paint bus benches in the town, disaster relief teams that go to help in areas of need and so much more. Two services Sunday mornings at 9am and 10:45. Come meet me usually at the second service

This review is LONG time OVERDUE as I wrestled with God for several years of constant praying! (Gen…read more32, 1 Thessalonians 5:14) I rarely write reviews on Churches. But, for some reason I was compelled by the leading of the Holy Spirit in writing this one. I have attending this church on and off for about 4-5 years because at that time I was new to the area and was looking for (in prayer) a home Church. I left because I had Surgery and was unable to do anything for several months including driving so I swallowed my pride, took the advise of other godly people (Proverbs 11:14) with deep love & compassion reached out to Journey Church of which I have been attending at that time for help (Pastor Scott and then by Pastors direction Lisa) for Any help they could graciously offer would have been appreciated. (I live about 5 minutes from the church) When I first attended Lisa had no problem coming to my home and placing a Journey sign without asking permission in front of my home, which HOA later made me take down. But, when I was in need (Because of surgery) for any help perhaps taking me to church since I could not drive, cooking a meal or any other need they were willing to provide (I was not picky or demanding in ANYWAY) There are several Bible verses that says we should Help each other especially in time of need with love (The Book of James 2:14-17; 1 John 3:17; Deuteronomy 15:7-11; Galatians 5:13; Micah 6:8; Zechariah 7:9 and the list goes on) But, instead of help in ANYWAY Pastor Scott sent me a message telling me to stop bothering it's members! First off, I wasn't bothering anybody and just following the churches direction and second where is the love and compassion? I was suffering in pain from a surgery I just had and needed a little help. Its not like I live far or asking for money or anything like that I just needed a little help, compassion, love, prayers, or anything they could do was all appreciated but, when I read his message my heart just sank and others I showed (I just wanted clarification If I was reading his message correctly) The Bible says seek the advise of others (Proverbs 11:14; 27:17; 12:15) Their eyes practically came out of their head. Needless to say I left. In reading Ephesians 4:32 believing everyone deserves a second or more + chances to explain what they meant by their text, forgiveness, not to be offended, shake hands ETC.. I made appointment with Pastor Scott to talk about what happened when I had surgery and about that text message I received from him as I read too him the message for clarification. I had a lets move on mentality so I can perhaps be a part of their church family and see where I can fit in because my kids enjoyed going there and it was incredibly close to my home so I felt I could really help and be a part of the church family But, Instead when I made the appointment to talk with Pastor Scott in his office I was meet with an attitude of "I was bothering him" , "We don't help people" and "What do you/I want"? there were no miss-understanding, He meant what he said in his text message, I was unable to ask it's church members for anything and the look on his face was one of the "What do you need"? You're not a member of our church and we only help members! WOW! Needless to say I won't be back and for those considering Journey, remember this, that everything is fine as long as you don't ask the church for any help or needs (Big or small) and you never see the True heart of the church, pastors or it's leaders until that need arises. (Disclaimer: This is my opinion based on my personal experience.)

We go to multiple churches depending where we are on Sundays. In Tracy, we go to the Sunday evening Mass. This is a big facility that is less a church, but more of a community center. Sometimes after Mass, we are folding chairs and placing them on the side walls! To me, a Catholic mass is a rhythmic routine surrounded by people of the same faith. The difference in routine is the sermon, the time the priest can reinforce our faith or make people feel disinterested. Luckily, the homilies here keep me engaged. The Sunday evening choir is a group of fun-loving people mostly of Filipino background. Of all the churches we go to, this choir is the most contemporary. Charlotte is a great singer and Chris does a great job with the arrangements. The community is lucky to have them involved in the church. Get there early for holiday masses like Easter and Christmas or you'll be standing in the lobby! One star off for the crazy parking lot. It's not that crazy, but it can be at times when people are gridlocked due to the four way stop at Valpico and Corral Hollow. 4 stars!

It's big so it can hold a large amount of churchgoer so I guess most people come here. The parking lot can be crazy after/before mass and cars will speed through the place like there's no people around (you would expect people to be a little cautious, but NO!). It's a family oriented place with kids running around the place, in which I really don't mind at all in some cases.

I really encourage people to come visit this church and hopefully they will see what I see.

It looks appalling! Like a cement fence at a landscaping rock yard storage. And the Pastor does not care!!!!! I tried to talk to him but all he wanted to say was how a lot of families in Tracy are waiting on a list to get into this school and avoided talking about the problems. Balls of all sorts were coming into the back yard. At first, an adult would come in from the front side gate without asking, go into the back yard and throw the balls back over to the schoolyard. NOW they put up a net about 25 ft. tall. Adding to the cruddy okie looking fence we have to look at a 25 ft. tall net with holes everywhere. Last straw, my mom called me almost crying (Mom is 93 & Dad is 96) about they now trimmed all the trees that were facing the back fence. They went 4 feet into the yard and not trimmed but cut all the branches next to the fence and left all the branches on the ground for the second time this week. I really feel they are taking advantage of the elderly.

One example of how loving this church can be occurred when my wife and I brought home our adoptive son with no warning of the day he was coming. We were ill prepared thinking we would have several more months to plan and had nothing, no crib, no clothes, not even diapers. The members of this church met us at our home when we got there with everything that one would ever need for a newborn. Crib, diapers, bottles, formula, clothes and the list goes on longer than I've got room for in this review. We didn't need to leave home for anything for several weeks. This is just one example of the amazing work the members of this church do for their community. They truly live what it means to follow Christ. Mr. William G, I'm sorry you had a bad experience. The 'father' of this church is God. Please come back and let us make you feel more welcomed.
