Poor communication for the sacrament classes. My kids are doing 1st communion. People will text and…read moreanswer in Spanish. Not everyone speaks Spanish. When my son went through first communion and we had the practice meeting they would answer the questions asked in Spanish in Spanish but not share it in English. I should have said something but I stupidly assumed the director would have covered it for the non-Spanish speaking parishioners. During a text conversation it was all in Spanish and I finally texted back please address in English as well. It's been super frustrating as far as communication. When I call for questions it can take awhile to get an answer. I sent an email 2 weeks ago and never heard back. Communication needs to improve and they need to communicate with their English speaking parishioners as well. I don't think I will have my kids do the confirmation program through them.

Y quizá no me sienta tan frustrada y decepcionada...

I just wanted to say thank you for posting such wonderful inspirational and thoughtful quotes on…read moreyour sign at the front of this church. I commute to Manteca and pass by this church every morning on my way to work. I always get a red light at the intersection of Louise and Union...but for months now I have been looking forward to those red lights so I can get time to read the wonderful messages that are posted on your sign. Thank you for adding a sparkle of hope, inspiration and thought to my morning. The quotes stay with me the entire day and its something wonderful to ponder. Today's quote read something like, "Remember that the power ahead of you is far greater than the power behind you...." So true. Our daily struggles, work, life, balance....... So just wanted to 'yelp' out a thank you for adding a positive step to my morning commute and even though the detail is small and easy...its very powerful!!!!! Thank you. Like Mother Theresa once said, "Kind words are short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless" Best wishes. Evangelina

I came to First Christian Church in 2003 shortly after moving to Manteca and I absolutely LOVE it!…read more The people are so welcoming and accepting that morning greeting is noisy and full of hugs and smiles! It is a small church, so it's easy to get to know everyone. In some situations this could also mean that everyone is in your business, but not here. It's more like a family. Not a perfect one, but one that loves each other despite of our short comings and differences.
