On the phone he told me I needed to come to his office because he was aware of a case against me. I was not aware I was being charged of anything because I had been the one to previously call the police for help. I went to his office. I meet with Ed. I gave him money. Cash in his hand. I got no receipt. A few weeks later I offered Ed a ride when I seen him walking down the road because Ed doesn't have a driver's license. He got into my car then asked me if he knew me. He acted like he had no clue who I was. He then asked me to barter for his services. I offered Ed more money because I will not barter anything. He told me that this wasn't about money and he doesn't need my money. Ed in return took himself off my case and is now sending me a bill. I am still going through court being represented by a public defender. Ed took complete advantage of my lack of knowledge of the legal system.
