One can't help but feel joy when visiting such a lovely Farmers Market, vibrant and full of soul,…read morecharacter and culture. One of the best worthy of a stroll in Côte d'Azur. Its gentle buzz, colors and scents exude an authentic south-of-France vibe, simplicity, and ease. Surrounded by open spaces, coffee shops, specialty stores, and restaurants, it is a quaint market that embodies the essence of local life and the true spirit of Provencale - showcasing a blissful array of artisanal goods and fresh produce: flowers, fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, lavender, cheeses (love the truffle cheeses!), a variety of olives and colorful flavored salts, plants, fresh seafood, meats, oils, baked goodies, unique specialties and lots of foods to try and enjoy. The merchants are easy to talk to. I'd gladly keep coming back here.

Pleasant farmers market to stroll around in Antibes, like most open air European markets they have…read morea bit of everything--fresh produce, dairy and cheeses, meats, seafood, herbs and spices, baked goods, flowers and plants, and other local vendors for honey, small handicrafts, and some brewed concoctions both alcoholic or non. If you're staying in the area and looking to cook I think this is a suitable location to pick up some products. Opening hours are 7:30am-1pm everyday except Mondays. The surrounding adjacent shops include a variety of restaurants, cafes and other retailers, and the market is also within a 5 min walk to the Picasso museum and about 10-15 min walk to the harbor area. No bathrooms though there are nearby public restrooms available. Tip: During winter months vendors tend to start packing up a bit earlier since there's less foot traffic.

Not my cup of tea, but I guess for an outdoor market, it is not the worst. Aix has become so…read moreoverrun by tourists (Americans and Chinese) as to make it seem too much like an up-and-coming Barcelona rather than the charming former capital of Provence. Mostly stalls along the Cours Mirabeau hawking clothing in the afternoon, food in the morning, depending on the day. There are smaller outdoor markets in Aix that aren't so blatantly commercial and tourististic. I mostly avoided the Cours Mirabeau when I could, including the smaller side streets just north. When the Foot Locker and North Face have stores, you can believe readily that the crass Americanization of French culture has been and is well underway. Rue d'Italie, I much prefer, with its neighborhood feel.

It's no surprise then, that the Aix-en-Provence markets are a gourmet experience. They're a place to indulge all five senses, and a joy to wander, working up an appetite between breakfast and lunch or as a place to socialize. Besides produce, cheese and bread, the Provence markets are also awash with linens, clothing, antiques, and fragrant rows of Marseille soap. And don't forget to stock up on fresh flowers at the daily market, where you can browse peonies and potted plants in the shadow of the stately town hall. Every day is market day in Aix-en-Provence - You can pick and choose the one you want to stroll around, you will love them....
