Its gentle buzz, colors and scents exude an authentic south-of-France vibe, simplicity, and ease. Surrounded by open spaces, coffee shops, specialty stores, and restaurants, it is a quaint market that embodies the essence of local life and the true spirit of Provencale - showcasing a blissful array of artisanal goods and fresh produce: flowers, fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, lavender, cheeses (love the truffle cheeses!), a variety of olives and colorful flavored salts, plants, fresh seafood, meats, oils, baked goodies, unique specialties and lots of foods to try and enjoy. Pleasant farmers market to stroll around in Antibes, like most open air European markets they have a bit of everything--fresh produce, dairy and cheeses, meats, seafood, herbs and spices, baked goods, flowers and plants, and other local vendors for honey, small handicrafts, and some brewed concoctions both alcoholic or non. If you're staying in the area and looking to cook I think this is a suitable location to pick up some products. Opening hours are 7:30am-1pm everyday except Mondays. The surrounding adjacent shops include a variety of restaurants, cafes and other retailers, and the market is also within a 5 min walk to the Picasso museum and about 10-15 min walk to the harbor area. No bathrooms though there are nearby public restrooms available. Tip: During winter months vendors tend to start packing up a bit earlier since there's less foot traffic. read more

If there is such a thing as a perfect farmer's market, then this is it!! I was fortunate to live a block away for three weeks, and literally anything I wanted to eat or prepare was there and very fresh. The Marche is a bit laid-back during the week, but bustling on the weekends. The highlight for me was the socca, made fresh on site. The meats, cheeses, vegetables, spices and herbs are always in abundance. It is a dream of a place for a foodie. read more

What a lovely farmers market. We originally discovered this market years ago when we were making our way to the beach and we wanted to come back. This time we got some freshly sliced cheese, black olives and freshly sliced salami for our beach picnic. Prices are $$ but it is to be expected. Everything was delicious. The Quick: Fresh flowers, vegetables, local cheeses meats and even some antiques. Very cool outdoor spot supporting small local businesses at mostly reasonable prices although you can find splurges as well and some souvenirs. read more

The market in Antibes is pretty awesome! Everything here is really good quality, fresh and colourful. The prices are excellent and the people are super friendly, probably a reflection of how nice a place Antibes is in general. If you're in Antibes for whatever reason, even if it's because you just moored up your 200000000€ yacht at the marina, you really ought to visit this place and buy something! read more
