Lots of nice seating areas, a really nice selection of hot & cold drinks (they even have A G Barr drinks, but alas no Red Kola) and some yummy cakes. Free wifi is available for customers on site, and there's plenty of places to sit (we sat in the front area, there's also a lounge in the back). Upon entrance we were embraced with the smell of fresh bread, and the interior was quirky yet welcoming. When waiting for our coffee there were a huge range of Italian treats on offer to nibble at. The coffee was strong but softened with the milkiness of a cappuccino, and having a salted caramel brownie made the combination heaven. My friend ordered the hot chocolate and white chocolate brownie, and also seemed like he was caught in the same heaven I was. One consisting of a chocolate overload. I wasn't able to finish the whole brownie, it was definitely a very indulgent delight. I'm not sure what the name refers too, as all the sanwiches and pizza's looks amazing I had a virgin beef and mozzarella focaccia toasted and ate in and took in the views of the frantic boxing day shoppers doing their business (they do take away too). The bread was stunning, really fresh and soft and baked with sun dried tomatoes and herbs, the mozzarella creamy and the beef yummy, which was nice after all the white meat eaten over Christmas. There was some yummy looking carrot cake, but I was full after the sandwich so I will have to try that next time.

They offer seasonal meals such as pie and pies, and baguettes made to order. The ham they sell is of great quality and and a very reasonable price, allowing you to buy 1lb for the same price as 2 slices from a deli. At christmas they took orders for ham and bread, meaning I didn't have to battle out on Xmas Eve to buy fresh goods.

Towering over is the famous St. Mary's church, so the Hungry pumpkin is perfect for tired tourists or city wanderers. The interior itself is warm and inviting, so i quickly sat down and was pleasantly surprised at the variety on offer. I ordered a cappuccino and a salmon panini. The coffee itself was a beautiful Italian arabica, coated with chocolate powder and served with a small Italian biscuit on the side. Absolutely delicious. The panini was packed with smoked salmon and goats cheese, and was very tasty. Price wise, it was similar to most cafes. I ought to try their full breakfasts next time, they look great. Definitely recommend!
