REGIONAL products, such as Urner Dürrs (a dried sausage specialty). Also on offer are fresh fruit juices, crisp fresh salads, home-made desserts and crispy Swiss chicken.
History
Established in 1970.
The idea of building a motorway service station in canton Uri goes back to the 1970s, when the Gotthard motorway existed only on paper. The service area - with its main building on the northbound carriageway and the accessory building on the southbound carriageway - became operational on 22 May 1980. The construction costs for both buildings amounted to around
CHF 10 million.
Die Idee, im Kanton Uri eine Autobahnraststätte zu bauen, stammt aus den 1970er Jahren - als die Gotthard-Autobahn erst auf dem Papier existierte. In Betrieb genommen wurde die Raststätte mit dem Hauptgebäude auf der Süd-Nord-Achse und dem Satelliten auf der Nord-Süd-Achse am 22. Mai 1980. Die Baukosten für die beiden Gebäude betrugen rund CHF 10 Millionen.

MyStop.Gotthard has become an important customer in the area in addition to being, with around 150 employees, one of its most important employers. Furthermore, around 80 percent of the Gotthard service station's purchasing is from local suppliers.
