It pains me to even write this knowing that more people will be flocking out there to get ink done causing me to wait even longer as my cash slowly comes in. At the moment I'm shopping for places to complete my sleeve and while out at Redcliffe I drove past this place. I didn't think much of it from the outside but the evidence is in the inside. Their portfolios have some of the most diverse and precise works of body art I have ever seen. The artists that do the photorealist tattoos are second to none. I got excited when I told them how I wanted to finish my arm and they helped my understand what types of images should I look for in order to have a balanced piece of art on my arm. I stopped short in booking an appointment just because I had no cash. Tell you this though, I'm saving every cent I get from now on.

Eliesha worked on my piece, I had three different small tattoos combined and she managed to sketch it so perfectly. I can't wait to go back and get more work done by her. She was a sweetheart, so nice. All the staff are super friendly. I definitely recommend this place to everyone the staff are amazing and most importantly it was a very clean shop. They accept walk ins, however I would suggest making an appointment as all the artists were tattooing when I got mine.

Jesse is an apprentice but I had complete faith in him, especially after meeting him at the shop for my consultation a few weeks back. The shop is rad! It's so clean and cozy. All of the artists are super friendly and seem to love being there. True Love requires a minimum $50 deposit for a tattoo, which you can pay in cash prior to your appointment, or pay thru PayPal! Which was really convenient. The tattoo I wanted was nothing I had seen Jesse do before, but he emailed me a sketch of his idea and I was so stoked it was almost exactly what I pictured. Jesse told me on appointment day, this style of tattoo was his first time ever doing anything like it. I'm absolutely impressed with the whole experience. Not to mention, my tattoo is so beyond perfect. Jesse will definitely be the one to finish my whole arm.

I had been hoping for (and promised) a sketch of my piece before the day of the appointment, but it didn't end up happening - which was cause for a bit of anxiety on my part, and probably the only disappointing part of my experience. Once I came to terms with my right to exercise my power to say "actually, that's not quite right yet, sorry", I rocked up for my appointment only to find out that there was absolutely nothing to fear. Pip had done an awesome job in translating my suggestions into exactly the picture I had in my brain. She was as professional as she needed to be, and the remainder of her was hilarious. The pricing was totally reasonable (True Love are cash-only, but there's an ATM at the supermarket around the corner). I look forward to going back to True Love.

I approached the staff at the little shop in Cleveland a little nervously; there were two or three young inked and pierced people looking at me as I walked through the door to ask about the price of tatts and whether I could get a gift voucher - was this an OK question to ask, I wondered? Do people give gift vouchers for tatts? I soon discovered they were lovely and friendly and yes, they were happy to take my money. We chatted for a while about piercing and what I could expect for what money in a tatt, and soon I was on my way with an IOU for a tattoo - painless.

I was greeted by friendly staff in a very punk-grunge style tattoo parlour which was pretty cool in contrast to the sterile doctors surgery style studios I've been to(still clean though). I chose a design out of a book I bought and showed the receptionist, I said I would like to tweak this to my specs and she was happy to do it. A few days later she rang me to ask me to come in to review her tweaks to my tattoo. I came in and reviewed and approved the design then paid my deposit and booked in an appointment. The artist as you can add in the photo is very talented and to date this tattoo is still my favourite. Highly recommend this studio.

These guys at Brisbane Tatoo are pretty talented and can do anything from cartoon style drawings to lifelike tattoos straight off photos. Like any Tattoo studio of high calibre their pretty expensive but the passion that they have is seen in the details of their work. As soon as I save up enough cash I'm going to hit them up and git it done. Tattoos of all styles for all types of people, just go in and hit them up.
