If you book a room here you are given a free bus ticket to Union Street and back (30 min bus ride). The price for this hotel varies based on the day of the week. Weekends are cheap and weekdays are expensive. This is because this Hotel caters mostly to the working class who arrives here during workdays and goes home during weekends. Expect to pay less than 100 GBP during weekends and up to 200 during weekdays. Book early because there will not be any vacancies during certain week days. If there are no more rooms, then most likely the hotels around the area are full as well. There was a time when I came here with no more vacancies and the only close by hotel available was the Marriot in Dyce, located on the opposite side of the airport (45 minute walk or a short taxi ride). WIFI connection here is fast and stable. I had no issues with it, and it's free. Breakfast is not free and costs 10 GBP. Although it may seem a bit pricey for some, the quality is very good. They have a buffet of scrambled eggs, haggis, "bacon", beans, fruits, yogurt, breads, croissants, muffins, juices, good coffee and tea. Dinner is good here too but also around the same price of 10 GBP (depending on what you order). There aren't that many other restaurants around the area. I went to the airport to eat lunch before at one point. I do believe there are other restaurants in other hotels next door, but nothing really peaked my interest. There is a Shell station about a 5 minute walk away. They sell coffee, candies, sandwiches, milk, and other items you might see at a typical gas station. The sandwiches they sell there aren't half bad either. Half the price for food at the Hotel and it puts food in your stomach. Update: The hotel next door called Premier Inn has a restaurant inside that serves food slightly cheaper. A full breakfast is 8.75 GBP versus 10 GBP here. The dinner menu is even bigger too!

There's a coffee dispenser in the same area that's self serve with to-go cups or regular cups. The Market is well stocked and decently. Wi-fi is available and free. We got a king room...very nice decor. Room was clean. We were welcomed with truffles and a thank you card for being Marriott members. The room has a safe and small fridge in the wardrobe closet. They also offer a hair dryer. The desk is spacious and its chair is comfortable. Very nice Courtyard Marriott.

The continental breakfast serves cereals, fruits, yogurts, muffins, croissants, crumpets, and other cold foods. The full breakfast includes eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms, beans, and grilled tomato. The full breakfast costs 8.75 GBP, which is 1.25 GBP cheaper than the Courtyard Marriot's breakfast next door. Good alternative if you are staying at the Marriot and want something different or slightly cheaper. If you want even cheaper, the continental breakfast is just 6.25 GBP! If you want even cheaper than that, there is a Shell station two minute walk away that sell sandwiches and milk. DINNER: The dinner menu is quite impressive. They serve pizzas, hamburgers, curries, Asian food, steaks, and more. I ordered the chicken Makhani curry for 11.55 GBP (about $19.60 USD). It's served with basmati rice, naan, and a side of butternut squash and lentil curry. Portion was just right and the plate came out hot, but not steaming hot. I'm pretty critical when it comes to Indian food, and I must say, the dish was surprisingly good (but not the best). The meat was good, the gravy was flavorful, and the butternut squash went well with the dish. The naan was pre-made, but still good. If I was to improve the dish, I would add more chicken, cook the chicken on a skewer, serve it with freshly baked naan, and serve it steaming hot. I also tried the "Asian Feast" which is the same thing as the chicken makhani meal (except half the portion) and includes red thai curry (small portion), Indian chips, and two extra sauces (which is just "yogurt" [actually taste like sour cream] and this jam sauce). I don't recommend the Asian Feast. It's expensive and although the portion looks big, its really not. The red thai curry has a strong resemblance of thai food but too sweet and thick for authentic. The "yogurt" was very disapointing and tasted like sour cream straight out of the box. Portion is small for both curries.

I was very disappointed with our stay here, thankfully we were only there for one night…read more We booked into this hotel as we had a morning flight, a lot of luggage and 2 children and thought it would make things a bit easier. On arrival at the hotel we checked in and due to the amount of bags, 5 large suitcases, a travel cot, 2 car seats and a buggy as well as the 2 kids we asked for help to our room. The elderly gentleman who helped us was very pleasant. We were on the first floor, we got to the bottom of the stairs and were basically told we would have to start lugging our bags upstairs as there was no lift. There was also a bit of a walk once we were up the stairs. In the end the man offered to store some of our luggage for us and we just took the essentials to our room which we agreed on. The room itself was fairly big, had one double and 2 single beds. We had booked into a family room so it was ideal. The bathroom was not very clean and there was a used razor in our bin. There was only a couple of towels in the bathroom so we had to ask for more. The main door to the room had no kind of security latch or chain so once the door was locked it could be very easily opened from the inside, we had to barricade the door to stop our toddler escaping!! When we checked in we were told that the shuttle bus to the airport was very frequent and we would not have to wait longer than 10 minutes. When we got down to check out in the morning we were told there wouldn't be a bus for at least 20 minutes. The Night Shift Manager who checked us out was unbelievably rude. I told her that we had to collect luggage that had been stored for us. She didn't acknowledge what I had said and picked up the phone. I stood around waiting in the reception area and then she shouted across to me that someone had been to our room and they couldn't find any bags. I went back across and said that the porter stored our bags for us but I didn't know exactly where. She stomped over to another area of the reception and started shoving bags out of another door to us. Her whole attitude was awful. The kids were getting restless while waiting for the bus and this lady just stood behind the desk glaring at them. The whole situation made me feel very uncomfortable so we got all our stuff and waited outside at the front of the building. The bus turned up 30 mins after we first asked for it. Thankfully we had left plenty of time for check in. All in all it wasn't a particularly pleasant experience.

I've been there a few times, generally on Saturdays or Sundays, and I like it. The food is good quality and the service is efficient. The menu is also quite diverse, though obviously mostly Italian as promised by the name. The choice of wines on offer are decent, too. The staff are generally obliging - one visit there I was with an eccentric companion (lovely but a bit barmy, occasionally ate like a horse, but BMI firmly under 19 ) who decided to start with a main course, then ordered another, and when I was looking at desserts, asked for a starter. The staff hid their smiles well and got us our orders without a murmur. If there is one criticism, it's the lighting which can be a bit halogen-harsh, although I noticed last month that they were improving this. The general decor is a little dark and heavy, so strident illumination tends to jar. The restaurant has little side-booths which are better and softer lit. The menu advertises the Albyn restaurant, which I've reviewed on Qype - I'm not sure what the link is, but given the quality of the food, I wouldn't be surprised at all if I heard that they shared management or kitchen. Approximately £50 for two with a couple of drinks. Nae bad, I'd say, for what you get.
