I was recommended here from a priest in a brewery (that in itself is a whole different saga). Upon pulling in, and since I was there, I filled my car up, I strolled over and opted for an asada burrito (steak burrito) and a carnitas taco (pork taco). Let me say, this was some seriously good food. The business only takes cash and they were hesitant to give me a receipt for my food, but regardless, the food was simply very good food at a great price point. The burrito was $6.00 and the taco was $3.00. Both were excellent. I strongly recommend here. Just remember to bring cash. Oh, and come hungry, as in very hungry and fill up on some truly amazing Mexican food.

To get an accurate idea of how their tamales are, I ordered two plain tamales. Of course they were pre-made, so I got my food right away. The staff was very friendly and efficient! Took the tamales home and was digging into them within 10 minutes. I would definitely say they are above average. They tasted fresh and not grainy....but a little light on the flavor. The sauce that came with the tamales definitely helps and kicks the flavor up a notch. On that front, I would recommend getting at least a sauce per tamale ordered since the sauce container is so tiny. I ran out of the sauce before I even finished the first one! While my search for the best tamale around is not over, I would definitely order from Tamale Queen again the next time I run into them!

They have their menu plastered on the side of the truck which includes things like burritos, tacos, sopes, tortas, etc. I ended up ordering two brisket tacos supremos ($4 a piece), which have tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream. They come with two small containers of salsa (one is spicy and the other is mild). I also ordered esquites ($6.50), which is corn in a cup with mayonnaise, cotija cheese, tajin, Valentina, and lime. The people who take your order are always very nice and quick. I waited about 6 minutes for my food to come out, and they call you over when it's ready. The food was all hot and so fresh. The brisket in the tacos was very flavorful and cooked well, and the esquites were tangy and juicy. They give you great portion sizes for the price and quality in my opinion. I have never had a bad experience here, and would recommend it to anyone needing a quick bite to eat.

I was able to try a bite of the chicken and thought it was juicy and had a nice grilled flavor. He has also enjoyed his steak burritos stuffed with beans, rice, onions, and cilantro. I love the soft and chewy flour tortilla. He likes the steak but says the flavor is not like that of typical beef steak. I ordered a torta with Alpastor (spicy pork). The Alpastor was very good with big chunks of tender meat. The bread was not quite as soft and chewy as others I've had, maybe this roll was a little stale. Overall the flavor of the sandwich was good and even better with a dash of hot sauce. Grab a drink from the ice chest underneath the window. They offer a variety of sodas in glass bottles or cans.
