I called the office twice to see if I could get some help in getting this done. The second time I called, I was told to leave a voicemail for Levi who would call me back. I never heard from Levi, who is supposedly the manager. Instead, I got a text from Brandon who had gone radio silent for weeks. He stated they could come and do the job. Because of the poor communication and lack of professionalism and feeling like my business mattered, I hired the job out with someone else. Imagine my surprise, when I reached out to a different company, and they actually bid the job, communicated and showed up to do it! I am appalled at the lack of professionalism and caring that my business was treated with specifically by Brandon and Levi at DeCook Excavating. If you want a job done and done well I suggest you keep looking beyond DeCook.

I was looking for a excavating company to do some work on our property. My wife came home with a…read morerecommendation for Decook. I called on a Friday an explained my project. The response was that they wouldn't be able to send anyone over that day, but would the following week. That was in April, it is now approaching the third week of May. We had some friends over and I mentioned Decook. He immediately said, "Oh they won't call you back. I've been waiting for three years." How could I possibly write a positive review with such poor customer service? Then and I find out I'm not the only one? If there was really any intention to do the job you would think you would get a call back. That wasn't even done! At least twice! I'd understand if I had been told they were booked etc., but to lead someone on by saying we'll send someone out and then don't is basically just lying. I wouldn't be writing this review if someone had lifted a finger to stop out or to simply call and say they won't be able to help. I would like to have reviewed a project, but obviously that's not possible.

Dave is a awesome guy , real easy to get along with and will go over and above. Now his partner on…read morethe other hand will not return phone calls and will just assume because you left an name and number that you want a tank pumped . Than they come after you have called the day before and the morning of telling them not to come and they show up and stuck a $200 bill on your door. So what does a guy do wipe it off his shoulders and try to call them for two and a half to three weeks sometimes twice in one day to find out how they can get paid . I even drove out to the address that was listed and there was no answer at the doors . Mind you they were already done pumping for the year because the outside temps were too cold to do so . So I called again this time leaving a message basically saying that if you want your money you need to come to the farm and get it , cause a months worth of chasing is enough and the refusal of a polite call back to get your money paid in full never happened. So as long as Dave's partner is helping I will not be doing business with American Septic Pumping again .. Sorry Dave that the ball had to roll this way !!!
