Update on NC Farm Bureau's handling of my June 2025 claim:…read more NC Farm Bureau's own hired engineering firm (Rimkus Engineering) conducted a forensic inspection and explicitly confirmed 100% contractor negligence (HomeUp)--concluding that while replacing siding, the contractor's heavy hammering caused vibrations and displacements in the exterior wall that broke the water supply line. Despite having clear forensic proof of zero policyholder fault, NCFB refuses to issue a standard administrative statement or status note on my C.L.U.E. loss report confirming 0% policyholder fault / third-party contractor liability. Even if NCFB chooses not to pursue subrogation for its own financial recovery, factual accuracy and fair reporting dictate that my public insurance record must accurately reflect that I was completely without fault. To make matters worse, instead of fixing their record, NCFB attempted to push an alternative policy from another company that carried a steep $2,500 deductible and did not even cover key areas of my home properly. NCFB management was well aware that my husband and I are 70 and 78 years old living on a fixed income, yet they attempted to steer us toward an underinsured policy rather than correcting their own administrative errors. NCFB continues to direct blame onto secondary underwriters. However, my current insurance agent formally confirmed in writing to Tyler and me: "As of this morning, Underwriting has advised that if Farm Bureau is not going to subrogate, or add messages I am 0% not at fault, then unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done." This written admission proves that NCFB's refusal to subrogate or clarify third-party fault directly prevents secondary carriers from adjusting my rating--locking my annual premium in at an inflated $3,100 per year. NCFB's refusal to stand behind its own engineering report, correct a simple record, and push inadequate coverage onto senior citizens on a fixed income shows a total lack of integrity and customer care.

Alavarado. Located in the center of the city it is a perfect location for anyone that works downtown. I've been using Allstate over 15 years or so as Allstate has insured every one of my houses, rental properties, mutliple cars, motocycles, rental insurance, etc.). He was very personable and accomodating getting my insurance needs in place making a less than stellar event quite painless so I thank him for that effort. So all insurance is alike? Pretty much so.......so what makes them different...........the Agent..........trust me and Mr Alavarado is someone you should consider when considering insurance in the Queen city.

That being said... I have had a policy with Erie through Anderson Hyman Group since I started driving 13 years ago. In the past year, I have gotten married and bought a house. I bought a new car a few months ago and Ed didn't even update my address. There has been no attempt by this office to maintain any type of relationship. I have moved my auto, house, and other policies to a different company with an agent who is interested in developing and keeping a relationship with their clients instead of just being treating their customers like a number. In addition, when I requested the cancellation of my policy, I did not even hear from Ed and I did not receive any questions into the nature of my cancellation thus proving that they simply don't care. Maybe I wasn't a big enough fish for them to care about when I was 20yrs old with a state min auto policy but man did you all miss the boat. Good riddance.

We have used GoPrime twice in the past year to refi our home in the Raleigh area. Our broker was…read moreMaylon Fowler both times, and I cannot overstate how pleased we were in all aspects. GoPrime offered the best rate AND terms out of 5 brokerage firms (Navy Federal CU, SunTrust, USAA, American Finance) right off the bat, no negotiations required. More than one of those other companies came back with a counter-offer, trying to entice us to go with them. Each time they did, the improvement was a pittance, and they STILL could not compete with GoPrime's closing timeline (45 days for my VA IRRL refi). Needless to say, I told them all to take a hike and went with Maylon and his team. When it came time for closing, my lawyer asked me who we were using. I told her "GoPrime," and her reply was, "Great--they always seem to have their paperwork in order. I can't say the same for some of the other companies out there." Closing was painless, a non-issue. The GoPrime team nailed it, TWICE in one year! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
