What a fabulous venue for our baby shower event!…read more If you're looking for a truly special venue, Blue Moon Barn and Vintage Market is an absolute hidden gem just over the Illinois border and south of Lake Michigan in Westfield, Indiana. Tucked away down a quiet, tree-lined country road setting feels beautifully remote--peaceful, private, and full of charm. So very worth the drive! The barn itself is nothing short of magnificent. With soaring two-story beamed ceilings and thoughtfully curated décor, every corner is filled with unique vintage finds sourced from around the world. The creative lighting alone is stunning and creates an unforgettable atmosphere, whether you're hosting a daytime gathering or an evening event. There is even an Airbnb guest apartment inside the barn! Inside, the over 5000 sq feet of event space is both elegant and functional. The long, 12-foot wooden tables add to the rustic sophistication, and the full-service kitchen makes hosting seamless. There's also plenty of parking, which makes things easy for guests--something I've found is often overlooked but so important. What truly sets this place apart is its heart. The property is situated on an 80-acre animal rescue acreage, and the events hosted there help support that meaningful mission--something as a guest I felt good about being part of. And a special mention goes to Jen, the hostess, who is warm, incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Her attention to detail and genuine care make the entire experience even more memorable. In my opinion, whether you're planning a special event, wedding, or simply visiting, Blue Moon Barn offers a one-of-a-kind experience that blends rustic beauty, thoughtful design, and purpose in the most wonderful way.

The store has groceries, housewares, books and even flooring! I spent the most time looking through the grocery sections. Prices were relatively inexpensive, and I could tell that some items were flops or overstocks from other stores that have found a home at Ollie's. They have name brands, this is not generic stuff. I think it's fun to try some products that you probably wouldn't otherwise get a chance to. The book section was 3 aisles or so, and were all priced to move. They have a wide variety of genres. I briefly walked through the home goods section, where I also saw name brand sheets and the like. The store was clean and the signs in the aisles are funny!

The young woman said I could return within a month just take it home and try it. We did. Called two days ago and said having issues would like to trade it for another chair. Was told, "we would never make you keep something yoy didn't like." So I went in to the store to discuss with them today and got a toally different story. First they looked up my order and asked how long we had the chair. I said about 2 weeks. I got a "hmmm" and the clerk walked away for about 10 minutes. Came back and said "I am really sorry you have had the chair too long." My response was I was told I could return up to a month after purchasing. He disappeared again and this time came back and said, "it is a discontinued chair all sales are final." Again I acknowledged that was not what I was told. Was told I was misinformed. I usually recommend them without hesitation but think I will start looking elsewhere for future purchases. Felt like we were being scammed.

Hanging out with my sister and grown nieces painting pottery was a ball. The girls night out event was an over 18 event with some risque pottery involved, but I absolutely loved it. We laughed and joked all night long and I felt the prices were fair. I love that it is family owned and they have Christmas trees that you can paint to put together a light up ceramic tree kit. My Grandma had a white one and unfortunately, after she passed, it was broken. We've decided as a family that is going to be a special project this year, that every family will paint and have one as a way to remember her as she and my grandfather were very special people. I really enjoyed myself and the staff was very nice. This is a great place to bring your kids, have a date night, or bring your aging parents. It truly is fun for all ages. I do have a fun idea for them, if they had a kit to sell to do pet paw prints, then bring it back to be fired and glazed, that would be cool, or have a day where pets can come to the parking lot and have their pawprint painted and put on something and then it's glazed and fired, that would be another cool something to do as a special theme!
