Greedy greedy greedy Stay away. You want someone who has your best interest. John Thyne only cares about his pocket book. Use someone else. There are plenty of realtors out there. Don't use this company. One of the worst experience that I ever had. Thanks for reading. read more

This is our second experience working with Kevin Goodwin, and we are so grateful for his services! He is the best realtor around. He made sure that all of our concerns and questions were addressed throughout the process of selling our home, and was able to assuage any concerns we had. He made the whole process run so smoothly and expertly. Thank you Kevin! read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Goodwin & Thyne Properties. From the first meeting at their offices I was confident I had made the right choice. I had some legal questions due to a possible foreclosure if the property did not sell quick enough and John Thyne was there to ease my mind. Anthony Bordin met with me, did a home walk, then set me up with the perfect realtor for my condo/area, Stu Morse was attentive, informative and straightforward. Stu knew the area and was well versed in the benefits of the area. The photo's of the condo as well as the amenities looked great! He kept me informed every step of the way. I received an emailed report after each open house as well a personal report from Stu. When offers didn't immediately pour in, he explained my worries away. In the middle of trying to beat the foreclose deadline, my best friend got seriously ill and subsequently passed away. During this time I had let Stu know I was either at the hospital or work so when signatures were needed he came to me. There was a problem during the home inspection so Stu called me to let me know what I had to get done-he paused, then said 'let me handle this for you' and he did. He was a blessing in disguise. When all was said and done I felt as positive as I did the day i walked into their offices. And yes! They were able to hold off the foreclosure and get my property sold!!! i recently ran into Anthony and he asked how things were going with my circumstances. He remembered specifics details and had hoped that all was well. Mind you, this is months later and he still remembered! As with most busy people, we procrastinate about getting some back burner items done. Seeing him reminded me that i had wanted to write a review about this fantastic real estate company, its staff, and mainly Stu Morse. read more

This was the fourth real estate transaction I completed with Kevin Goodwin. As always, he and his company provided outstanding guidance and service. Over the years, I've hired three other real estate agents. Kevin is head and shoulders above any of them. Not that they were bad, in fact they were all great with which to work. Kevin is just on another level. I highly recommend kevin and his team! read more

My complements to Goodwin & Thyme Properties for having "Caitlin Benson" as a member of you team! I recently met "Caitlin Benson" on a home inspection for first time buyers, as Real Estate Inspector of seventeen years; I was quite impressed with her integrity and client first attitude. It was really nice to have have a agent truly encourage me to take my time and do a thorough inspection. I was all also impressed in her in dealings with her client's. Caitlin was up front with them with my findings and stated to her clients that if they couldn't get what they needed in the way of repairs through negotiations this may not be the home for them. read more

I highly recommend Goodwin and Thyne. I chose Kevin as my realtor because he was recommended by someone at work. I had no idea what I was in for when I signed up to be Kevin's client. Kevin found out we were moving from Ventura to Goleta and were planning to sell our house. He immediately found me his Ventura partner Caitlin. She helped us put our house on the market and it sold two days after one showing for full price cash. She coordinated with Kevin and they were smart enough to negotiate a 30 day lease back after a 17 day close (something I know nothing about). Then Kevin went to work finding us a house. He quickly read our preferences and helped us offer for a house we love. In 21 days, he negotiated a fair price, arranged nine house inspections, dealt with a trust and sellers living abroad, and found us a back up lender when our lender was behaving badly. Essentially he secured the house we love in 14 banking days with a lender who offered a better rate and overall better deal than the original one we chose. He also coordinated repairs and negotiated credits. If we hadn't gone with this company, we likely would have had to rent for a while and it is unclear how long the process would have gone on for. Anyone selling a house or buying a house can tell you showing a house and dealing with banks is an extremely difficult and stressful process. Kevin and Caitlin went above and beyond to streamline it, and Caitlin even watched our dogs in her yard during our inspection. Kevin and Caitlin coordinated their activities closely with my work schedule and were available at all times of the day. They were extremely good about updating me and ensuring that everything went through smoothly. They explained everything to us very thoroughly. I have no doubt in my mind that had we gone with a different realtor, we would still be in the process of selling. It took us six weeks from deciding to put our house on the market to sell and buy our new house and close on escrow. That in itself is a recommendation and I cannot praise both Kevin and Caitlin enough. They are superstar realtors. read more

Olesya Thyne was just great to work with. She handled the sale of my property from start to finish. She was extremely proactive, knowledgeable, efficient and quick to respond. The property was professionally photographed and listed promptly; Olesya then held events to attract buyers and quickly generated interest. An offer came in just a few days. After a successful negotiation process, an attractive price was agreed upon. The escrow process went very smoothly and closed as scheduled. Olesya was always there to answer questions and deal with any issues. I couldn't have had a more satisfying experience selling my home! I'm very thankful for Olesya's help and highly recommend her. read more

I have been represented on purchases and sales of area homes by Goodwin and Thyne over the last 15+ years. They are amazing people. You can find brokers more knowledgeable than John and Kevin and they just happen to be very pleasant to work with and always fight hard to get their clients what they want and at a highly competitive rate of compensation. Anthony Bordin is awesome as well. He's responsive, knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. G&T is fantastic. read more

I recently bought a home in Santa Barbara, and I am grateful to have had Anthony Bordin at Goodwin & Thyne Properties guide me through a successful home purchase. A friend referred me to Anthony because he is an experienced real estate professional and he has great integrity. He made my experience as a first-time home buyer enjoyable and nearly stress-free. I never felt pressured to make any decisions, to move forward on a property that I wasn't completely comfortable with, or to sign any documents that I didn't understand. I just used G&T realtors to sell my home and buy a new one. They delivered as promised. John Thyne charged 1.5% to sell my home and refunded 1% of the purchase price of my new home back to me. I feel he really had my best interests at heart and was very professional. He made every attempt to keep everyone, the lenders, sellers and escrow company on schedule to close on time. His long experience in this business really showed. I highly recommend this realty office. read more
