National Road Antique Mall is one of 17 antique shops in the town. The mall is filled with two stories of antique booths that carry primitive antiques and vintage Americana. Many booths were offering sale prices. I was greeted when I walked in by friendly staff. The mall is clean with mostly wide aisles. There is a restroom centrally located on the first floor. There as plenty of free street parking today, but probably at a premium when summer rolls around.

I'm glad I stopped in because I really enjoyed shopping here and found a bunch of new and used items that I liked! The entire flea market is indoors. It reminds me a little of Goodwill, but I found this place more interesting because there were more unique, artistic and fun items. There are many individual booths, and each one tends to focus on a particular category. For example, there are booths dedicated to furniture, home décor, and other types of merchandise. I bought a used tall wooden corner shelf (not pictured) that's about as tall as I am for only $65. I thought it was a great value considering the quality and size. I also picked up a pack of new bar soaps, a box of Starbucks K-Cups, an unopened bag of Hershey's chocolate bars (not expired), a cute new glass jar with a wooden lid and glass straw, a used Vera Bradley handbag, and several other items, all at reasonable/affordable prices. I also noticed that they have mystery boxes in various sizes. I was intrigued by the idea, but I hesitated because the boxes felt very lightweight, and I couldn't tell whether the items inside were new or used. Personally, I prefer new items, so I decided to pass on them. Overall, I had a great time browsing and shopping at this flea market. There were lots of things to discover, and I'd definitely come back again!

It wouldn't be the Fourth of July without a stop at Grandma's! This little independent fireworks…read moredepot is very well stocked and has been selling pyrotechnics for 33 years. The co-proprietors are Grandma Sheila and Grandma Chris. These ladies know their fireworks and have been blowing them off even longer than I have, and that's saying something. If you like fireworks you'll feel like a kid in a candy store here and if you behave, Grandma might even toss a little free explosive in your bag. All the good stuff is here, at a wide price range and variety, so you're bound to find stuff to fit your particular taste and budget. Easy parking on the property. They are open 10 am to 10 pm every day for the weeks leading up to July 4th, and noon to 8 for New Year's Eve, Memorial Day and Chinese New Year. Other times, just call Grandma and she'll artange to meet you at the shop. I love to shop small and local and it's great to do that for fireworks too. I recommend Grandma's.
