First issue is the price of things... These things were given to you. donated freely.. so why such a high price for the items? Next I have personally overheard your employees bad mouthing the manager,scheduling & them not doing what they preach to employees.This has made me not want to shop here. read more

Although parking can be challenging, it is worth it because compared to other GW's, my family and I have always found great items at reasonable prices. For example, we just went on a trip and had to borrow a garment bag for our nice attire, which proved very handy. We were fortunate enough to find a variety of these here and buy a Samsung one for $10. This was a great find. We also found a few other small items and were overall, very pleased with this location. read more

When you donate... and you have taken time to tape parts together and or protect glass- their employees unload your car and throw it into a box.... You can hear everything break! Parts everywhere! They just don't give a SH - T! They should be renamed BADWILL! Very very sad. We have great other places in New Braunfels- who show respect - and care. read more

Decided to stop in on a Saturday at this location as we were in the area browsing some thrifty spots on our way back in to Austin. It was the weekend so there were plenty of folks inside and parking lot had very few spots to park in. This is a smaller location than other Goodwill's I have been to but they had a good amount and a variety of items here. Again it was on the weekend when we visited so there were a lot of people waiting to get checked out and made the store feel a little crowded. I did see all of the employees around wearing masks and being mindful of space as we shopped. I appreciated this especially how it felt a little more crowded for my pandemic comfort. We didn't end up purchasing anything here as nothing really caught our eye but it was good to come to this location as we drove back home just to stretch out our legs. read more

Traffic and parking at this location is horrible! All the shopping aisles only fit one cart so you constantly get stuck behind someone looking every little thing. Not much of a selection for toddler clothes, books, or toys. A bunch of stuff animals and kitchen stuff. Would not come back. read more

This is my go-to for costumes! I have bought clothes and turned them into Gene Simmons KISS, Queen Amadala from Star Wars and today I left with a muu muu that would make Mrs.Roper jealous! I am in a talent show that requires us to dress up as grannys and I scored! Even saw a red velour track suit and a best/capri outfit embroidered with various mixed drinks! Ha. Employees are pretty cool there. You have to get over the faint old lady smell. Good luck finding your treasures. read more

Wow great store very clean, vast selection and friendly sales and staff people! I was visiting the area from out of town and found some fabulous items! Parking was okay leaving was somewhat awkward do to the turning to get out but hey all in all a great experience. See you guys next visit! read more

I noticed all the stores are being upgraded with new computerized registers, better quality wares, organized aisles- and best of all- every employee at the register thanks the customer for being a customer, nice. While shopping in Goodwill New Braunfels on 3/17/2015 with my husband. I found a cat ornament with no price, we were chatting with another customer who had a boxed set of four plates with rooster designs on them,according to the box it should have been four different coloured plates, but in this case there were only two rooster designs and one of the plates had a sticker on it for $2.99 so wanting to confirm that because the plates appeared to have been mismatched from the original box (I am aware that Goodwill Stores sometimes get several sets of things and split sets) I wanted to check with someone on behalf of the lady that the price was indeed $19.99 or could it be sold as single plates for $2.99 As well as check the price for the ornament I had. So I walked halfway down the store and asked a young girl if she could check the price for me on My cat ornament and the box of rooster plates. She told me to go up to the front counter where two staff members were serving. After waiting in the line I spoke to one of the Staff members who said she needed to check the price, so she called on the intercom for a price check. after waiting about ten minutes and after they had called again for a manager a man came up and walked around to the back of the counter.I tried to explain why I had questions regarding the pricing but he rudely glanced at the $19.99 sticker price and said "the price is $19.99" I tried again to point out the $2.99 sticker but he didnt even want to hear about it. So I then asked him about the cat ornament which had no price. He said $1.99 and just started to walk off.I then asked him as he walked away if I needed a sticker on it as I hadnt finished shopping and he said as he was walking around the counter "I think she heard me say the price" the she he was referring to was currently serving another customer. My issue is this: This man was extremely rude and condescending. I was embarrassed as all this took place infront of myself, the lady who I was asking on behalf of ,several customers who overheard this exchange,and the Sales assistant who was serving alone by this time. I want you to know that I have worked in management and customer service for over 20 years, and I am disgusted by his attitude and conduct towards customers and staff. I understand that I was there at lunchtime and he appeared to have been interrupted from something and I know that you can have bad days but you never show your annoyance or impatience like he did. I am also aware that the stores all probably have a theft problem or label swapping issues But as an honest customer just looking for my bargain of the day I still was left with a disgusted impression of the place. I have been a customer of this branch in New Braunfels for 3 and a half years and I have come to know and recognise several of the staff members.I also shop at Austin, San Marcos,Rolling Oak, Seguin and also San Antonio Goodwill Stores and This is the first time ever I have I have walked out of one of your stores feeling angry and disgusted. Your name is GOODWIIL and I felt he showed me none of that at all. I also wish to inform you that my husband has on ocassions in Seguin and in this New Braunfels store noticed his condescending and abrupt behaviour towards the staff and customers when walking past them. We have both along with other friends and customers noticed that the prices in New Braunfels Store seem to have increased on Items. We shop at Goodwill stores on a weekly basis and also donate when we as hoarders can bear to part with our treasures. I have also filled out the comment cards in the past commending the service from your staff as having been a manager myself it is more often you hear the bad complaints than you hear the compliments. I just have one more thing I wish to add... there is a poem I learnt years ago in retail that I have never forgotten....It is called the nice customer who never comes back. It was part of a training tool I was taught years ago. I sincerely hope that I am not going to be this customer as this is the first time that I have felt compelled to write a letter like this. I donated a ton of stuff to this goodwill this morning. By a ton I mean the back of my Jeep was full. I was treated like a dog when I donated these things. A DOG! The person who helped me was not only rude and disrespectful, but he greeted me with a disgusting scowl on his face. I WILL NEVER DONATE TO THIS GOODWILL AGAIN! Here is what happened : I drove up to the donation window and a lady was parked in front of me getting a bunch of stuff out of her car. The gentleman that was helping her was sorting everything right there as she handed her things to him. There were a bunch of different boxes outside that they were putting things in. Naturally, it took a while. I was fine with that since I, too, had a ton of stuff. I figured I would save time and unload everything so they could sort it out faster. So I unloaded my Jeep and set everything on the ground by a bin. I did not put it in the bin because, like I said, they were sorting everything in several boxes. As I finished, the gentleman (the one still helping the woman in front of me) called out to another guy (who does not deserve to be referred to as a gentleman) to help me. He came out with a nasty scowl on his face and did not even look up to greet me. He then started to THROW everything into a blue bin and said in a very sarcastic tone, "thanks for unloading everything NEXT to the bin and not IN the bin." He then ran inside to get me a receipt and shoved it at me. There was no "thank you for your donation." I said nothing. The man was disgusting and because of how he represented this Goodwill, I WILL NEVER DONATE TO THIS GOODWILL AGAIN! read more
