I walked in, verbally and physically acknowledged the 2 shopkeepers, one who had the most cold look on her face, very unfriendly and looked at me in a suspicious manner. No smile. Never stopped looking at me until I walked away to the left of the store. She wasn't doing any task. She just stood, looking at me. The other lady, the same, but at least said hello. The one lady followed me through the entire perimeter of the store. Not once did she ask me, "Can I help you?" Not once did she say, "Are you looking for anything in particular?" If she had, I would have told her exactly what I was looking for. This, by the way, is the PROPER way to surveil your store to keep an eye on your customers. Not follow them around very apparently; that makes a very rude statement (non-verbal, of course) that says: I'm watching you. I've singled out you. It's inappropriate, it's not the correct and mannerly form to prevent shoplifting. I will never be back and I won't ever forget how u made me feel. Whether you purposefully wanted to make someone feel bad today, I will never know. But u did. Put up cameras visibly. Put up the large round mirrors. And yes, keep walking around your store. But talk to your customer. Ask them while they are in the store shopping if you can help them. Ask what they are looking for. Treat everyone the SAME or treat them like you care. Or pretend to.

Sometimes you have to search for that hidden gem, but this is for a good cause. The dressing rooms are a big issue. There are more than one but the ladies were only opening one. It was pretty busy being a Saturday afternoon with six plus people waiting in line for said dressing room. Other than the rude staff I enjoyed the store. I purchased a few items and will return if ever in the area. Not to mention nothing in the store is over $10. Owners may want to get some workers that are friendly and like to be around people. Bernard was hired by a family member and first came in claiming that our house was one of the best…read moreestate sales he's worked on lately. He said there was easily $45k worth of goods however when it was too late, and we added up his sticker prices, and being educated in antiques ourselves, we discovered that there was over $100k in antiques. He did not advertise the sale properly, he only posted on Estate Sales dot net. The first day, hardly anyone showed up. I realized that something was strange already prior to this so I posted on Facebook late the first night letting people know about the next day's sale. The second day of the estate sale was packed non-stop and everyone who came said that they learned about the sale from Facebook. On the first day he spent over $1000 himself, had his family members come and purchase antiques (spending thousands themselves) as well as friends of his. Mind you, he owns an antique store in downtown Ocean Springs and priced everything himself. He also did not allow us to make decisions about the cost when we would speak with people who were trying to purchase items. The second day of the sale, the lady who worked at the door who took the money told everyone that everything was 50% off. How can everything be 50% off to people who didn't even attend the first days sale??! In his contract, he said there would be a "clearance sale" but he was too busy so he couldn't come back and do that for a while. With my posts on Facebook, I had lots of people wanting things at full price, but he wouldn't allow me to sell anything. When he was finally able to come back and do the clearance sale (after we had to pay more for the house electricity, etc.) the house nearly became cleared out and we were left with nothing. $100k worth of antiques and we received less than $10k. Im not even sure how this is possible as with just having spoken with 3 people that were at the sale, they spent $3k alone. He's a professional thief and scam artist. I would not hire him again and would not recommend him to anyone. I hope my review saves others from being scammed.
